I had a really good experience at Tonkin Mazda of Portland. They worked very hard to make a car that I liked happen and at a rate that I could afford. They even offered to drive it up to Wenatchee for me. The manager Zach worked really hard to get it within my price range. I waited over a year to write this review, because I wanted to make sure there wasn't any problems with the car. While I did need to do maintenance to it, it was all in the areas I expected. The only reason I am giving four stars out of five is that the sales person who worked with me didn't seem to know how Mazda's even worked

Team Tonin Mazda Service Team Rocks! I came in for regular oil and maintenance service on 2017 CX-5. I was treated with care and attention from service advisor, Justin Clunas. The atmosphere and amenity at the show room and waiting are presented at the premium level. All staffs are courteous and professional. Highly recommended. Thank you!!!

Had a seamless and great experience with upgrading my leased CX-5 this week at Tonkin Mazda. Rafael A. was the sales consultant I worked with and he made everything tremendously easy and stress free from options to test drive to pricing. I've stuck with Mazda for a great car and reliable quality service every time.

My recent experience at the Tonkin Mazda service department was excellent because of the high quality personnel that staff that department. Especially so is the service advisor Justin Clunas with whom I have had many past service appointments. Justin is outstanding because he is knowledgable, honest, reliable, and always works in the interest of giving the customer the best service. His positive attitude and sense of humor go a long way to making the atmosphere at the service counter a pleasant one. I just want to take this moment to share about my great experience I had that Tonkin Mazda and most importantly with Tudor. Everything that I had envisioned before going in there to get this vehicle really happened and I give Tudor all the credit. He made the whole process so I’m painful and a great experience. He even delivered the car to my residence which was roughly 150 miles away and I am so appreciative of him. OK experience with him at this dealership. Jacob was great at finding the car we wanted, doing a dealer swap to get a car from out of state for us. We were very happy with the trade in value, they matched the highest of 3 offers we got beating out Carvana and other nearby Mazda dealerships. The Cherry on top was Eric in financing taking our 5 year end to end warranty and making it a 7 year for no additional cost. We plan to have this car for a long time and appreciate the team there making sure we're well protected and they have our back. Family loves the new white cx-9 and my 4yo calls it the 'white unicorn'. Thanks guys!

I'm in the market for a new vehicle and scheduled a test drive through the chat feature. Within the hour Jacob reached out to confirm and ask which vehicles I wanted took at. He had them pulled up when I arrived for my test drive. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't pressure me into making a decision on the spot and if he didn't know the answer to my question he went and asked.

I miss taking my car to this location for service! I moved out of the area and the new Mazda retailer I was taking my car to was not nearly as good as Ron Tonkin Mazda in Portland. I am returning to write a review about Steve Ballinger (? last name ?). He was my service advisor for about 3 years and was truly 5 star!!!

This is the second time I've taken my MX-5 in for service at Ron Tonkin Mazda and had a great experience. Staff is friendly, the video update from the service tech is pretty cool, and prices are comparable.

I had such a wonderful experience with Jacob in used cars. All i had to do was tell him my budget and A few details about what I was looking for and he found me the perfect car! I honestly have never had such a quick experience at a dealership. Eric who helped with the financing portion was extremely knowledgeable and had a clear and concise way of describing all the paperwork. Overall fantastic experience!

My wife and I sold a car here when purchasing a new truck. We were originally going to sell our car to car max but were talked into selling it to Ron Tonkin instead, under the premise that we would receive our check within a few days. Fast forward a month, no check and 20 calls to the dealership... they tell us there was a clerical issue but reassured us it would be overnighted. Another week has gone by now and we finally got ahold of Patrick in the finance department and he's extremely rude and unprofessional to my wife and tells her that our check is there if we'd like to go pick it

I've had multiple terrible and unprofessional experiences at this dealership that both involved me searching for used cars.

About 2 months back I went to check out a scion frs at the dealer, when I first approached the dealer I saw 2 or 3 individuals outside the front door who seemed very conflicted at each other as they were shouting profanities at each other. This place is garbage.. they hit my credit with an inquiry and then tried to charge 800.00 a month for a 22,000 dollar car - don’t waste your time

This review is in relation to my communication with, test drive at, and lease negotiation at Tonkin Mazda on 9/9/21. Terrible experience, starting from the email communication with the salesman (as in, he just stopped replying to me) - so I called and set up an appointment myself. Went out and looked at the available cars. Test drove one. Asked to look at a lease offer. The offer was double what was publicized - understandable but disappointing. He told me they might be able to get it down if they ran a credit check. After an hour of waiting to hear back, and sitting there, I just left. This was

Got the bait and switch ended up at another dealership. In and out no BS in 2 hours.

I visited this location today for a 2010 Crosstour. The vehicle is was in fair condition, and had not been prepped for sale but they were asking over $13,000. The front wheels on the vehicle were different tread than the back wheels and this is an all wheel drive vehicle.

Accelaration from 60-80 revealed earthquake like tremors from the front of the vehicle. Salesman tried to pitch features such as a 10 year old sub-optimal navigation and a deprecated all wheel drive system as the reason for the car to be priced at 10% of the best Kelly Blue Book values.

The valve cover had gunky oil deposits

With all the different dealerships, my only hope is one thinks twice before purchasing from a Ron Tonkin dealership. I’ve purchased many cars over the years and am pretty accustomed to the different games dealerships play, but I have to give kudos to Ron Tonkin for their deceitfulness, that was a first, you got me!

Didn't end up buying anything but gave them a decent chance. Visited here twice debating on buying a Mazda or Toyota. They price competitively, but don't really come down at all. Maybe a few hundred dollars, max.

Had been talking to the same salesman the entire time, then when came in to potentially purchase was given someone else. I get this happens, but makes me way less inclined to buy It makes you feel not that important of a customer.

Dealers are nice for seeing a known quality car, but you get a lot more for your money if you can qualify for a private loan. The car I was looking

Do not go here for maintenance. I have strong reason to believe their technicians left cables disconnected after performing maintenance on my car. Had to take my car elsewhere to be fixed. Additionally, they… failed to report considerable corrosion around our battery and a number of other "safety check" items they would have observed if they actually performed a full inspection like they claimed. Go elsewhere.

We worked with Scott Barney and could not have had a better experience. They were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. 5 stars for him definitely!
