Yogi Beans
Yogi Beans is a yoga experience committed to introducing young people to a healthy and lifelong activity that is noncompetitive, non-judgmental, physically challenging, and a ton of fun!. Our core program structure develops children's abilities to focus (attention), stand up straight (posture), move their limbs with control (coordination) and grace (flexibility), and find inner strength (self-confidence).

Our curricula are designed to introduce young people - from babies to teenagers - to the foundations of yoga and mindfulness, and translate novel yogic concepts into a language that is understood and enjoyed. Yogi Beans is the brainchild of mind-body-fitness expert Lauren Chaitoff who founded Yogi Beans in 2007.

I really enjoyed my experience with Yogi Beans. I have completed all of the Kids Yoga Teacher training modules and each one was informative and enjoyable. I love that Yogi Beans offers a BIPOC scholarship. This not only made it accessible and inviting but it also increased the chances of me not being the only person of color in each workshop. The facilitators were personable, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Yogi Beans to anyone looking to learn more about kids yoga.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Yogi Beans. My kids (5 and 7) have taken many classes pre-pandemic and even virtually during the pandemic. They love the classes. The instructors keep them so engaged and motivated. I have even caught one of my daughters practicing her calm-breathing when she has felt anxious. I highly recommend!

We absolutely love Yogi Beans. Both of my children took yoga classes taught by Yogi Beans instructors at their preschool. The teachers were attentive, engaging, and well versed. My children were excited to go to class each week and loved showing me what they learned to practice together as a family at home. We highly recommend Yogi Beans.

I did my, Kids Yoga Teacher Training, with Yogi Beans. It was a phenomenal training and a memorable experience that inspired me to continue down the path of spreading children’s yoga.
I left this training prepared and equipped with a comprehensive tool kit that gave me the confidence I needed in my teaching and within my own practice.
The founder, Lauren, and the Bean Team are very talented, professional, and a supportive community, even many years later.
Thank you for the wonderful and influential experience at Yogi Beans.
Forever grateful.

Yogi Beans is a wonderful way for children of all ages to access yoga. As a teacher and a yoga instructor, I see that YB orchestrated a curriculum very much like an educator would and the classes are designed very much like a lesson plan with a theme. The way the Yogi Beans classes are designed and organized moves at a pace that keeps children engaged in all facets of yoga; philosophy, meditation, asana, and most of all fun! Yogi Beans is a wonderful way for children to practice and learn about yoga.

Yogi Beans has the best yoga program for children in New York! They have amazing lesson plans with different fun themes to engage children of different ages. With Yogi Beans instructions the kids will learn to be more aware of their breath, their mind and body. To me personally it’s very important that children will learn how to calm down and how to manage their stress when needed. So I would say Yogi Beans really is a magical place for children and I would recommend it to anyone whether you’re into yoga or not!

I highly recommend the Mini Bean class at the Pure Yoga West location.
I take the 2 little girls that I nanny for there on Mondays. Rebecca, the instructor, is phenomenal and really makes it enjoyable for the girls.
My favorite thing the girls have learned was “the Lion’s Breath” which they practice when they’re angry or frustrated.
It’s one of our favorite activities to do during the week!!

I took my 5 and 8 year old to the family yoga class for 4-8 year olds at Pure Yoga West. It is $45 per student for 45 minutes. No sibling discount. There wasn't room for the 3 of us to put mats down without overlapping or folding one of our mats ($90 worth of yoga?). The other children could not have possibly been 4 years old. One little guy was wearing a pull up! And the class was taught to their pre-school needs. My kids had a pleasant enough time, but this did nothing towards body awareness or knowledge of yoga...as they guessed what things might be found in a garden and pretended to be blueberries

Love Yogi Beans! Every time I pick up my little cousin from her class she has a new pose to show me! She loves going to class every week and tells me all about how she goes to class and watches her breath! This program is amazing for kids, I recommend to everyone I know!

Very sincere spot. My daughter enjoyed the company of the other babies and watching everyone bend and twist around her. The small class size made it even more relaxing.

We took our 3 year old to Yogi Beans in March 2012, when we lived in NYC for a couple of weeks.

Since we don't speak English at home it wasn't too easy for her to follow instructions during the Mommy & Me lessons we attended, but the enthousiasm from her teacher *completely* made up for that. The Yogi Ladies are real professionals and pay attention to each child (and their caretaker).

It's been three months since we visited Yogi Beans and our daughter is still singing "Fly Like a Butterfly in the Sky" out of nowhere. My husband just returned from taking her to preschool
