BEWARE ! DONT BE FOOLED like I was.
They specifically told me they would not take any of my items unless they could get $300 for it.
So what would that lead a person to believe?
I was left with the impression that each item I surrendered to their care and expertise to sell for me would render at least $300, less their commission.
That is not at all the case!
I brought to them a stunning original pastel work signed by Maria Kuleszyna
an original drawing of Bambi, and a gorgeous hand painted 4' x6' glass screen room divider from Japan.
I was SHOCKED to receive 2 checks in the mail totaling

Well, I frequently bid on items on the internet. On the last Discovery Auction I needed to use a different credit card. Card on file was compromised. I left 3 messages asking for someone to call me back. It didn't happen. I was so frustrated I called the Real Estate division. A very nice man gave me the email addresses for three individuals. I did send them emails. I got no responses.

Finally I called and left a message that reflected my displeasure. I got a call back. Finally!

Upon picking up the items there was a delightful African American lady who was lovely. The merchandise was delivered

Be careful if you give them your credit card number to bid on houses. I did this and they charged my credit card for a few items on their estate sales. I told them that I did not buy any jewelry from their estate sale and they told me that it was indeed me. I tried to tell them that I did not and then they kinda argued with me about. Then they finally figured out that it was someone else with the same name. So be careful when you give them your credit card number to bid on houses. The interesting thing was that it happened twice six months apart. If I was not careful with reconciliation on my credit

I signed up for Alexcooper.com to bid on real estate listing. To bid on the listing you have to enter your credit card information which I did. I never bided on any items. After a few months, I see a pre-authorization charge on my credit card for 1,655.83.

I called them and they said that I purchase some jewelry or something. Then I said that I did not. Then, the woman argued with me that I did win an auction. I then said that I did not. Then she says hold on. Then this rude guy gets on the phone and says that I won the online auction. Then I repeat what I told the lady that I did not win

This is not uncommon. A friend was buying property in Eureka Springs, Ark & the house was unexpectedly bought by a church, instead. The owner & heirs do make changes up until the last minute.
It's nothing personal.

The best thing I did for myself was to ask Alex Cooper to sell my Moms house. It was a very difficult time dealing with my Moms death and the cleaning out of her things. Paul Cooper and Jared Block relieved me of all the stress of selling her home. Thank you both so much!

We listed our house through Alex Cooper in the fall. Their brokerage services are top notch. Specifically we dealt with Matt Cooper. He walked us through every detail, was hands on in preparing our house for photos and the listing and was available whenever we needed him. Matt helped get us too dollar for our house!

Again, Matt was patient with us when looking for our forever home. He worked around our families schedule and walked us through the buying process again. We are extremely happy how easy this process was for us. I would highly recommend Alex Cooper!

I had a lot of things that I wanted to sell. So instead of listing them on Ebay, I decided to try a local auctioneer, ALEX COOPER. I figured since I had a lot of old items, that they would know more about them. I thought I had a better chance of selling through the auction house. HUGE MISTAKE!
I had a large lot of marbles, including some antique German marbles. I knew they were worth over $500.
They said the marbles will sell well. They did sell - but only for $30! They take 30%, so I ended up with $21. I felt sick, I wanted to cry!
They told me all of their items were listed on four different

This group instead of helping my elderly parents auction off veey high end antiques pretty much stole from my family. One of the owners came over to assess the contents of the old house and said he'd help auction off selected items that were valuable that have been in my family for generations. Basically they were items he knew he could take from the family's old house and tell my parents that the items will go to auction. Erte and Moss etchings, silver dining sets from the 1800s several other items. They came back to us with their bogus receipts saying the items sold for literally nothing

Extremely rude and unhelpful on the phone when I called about an item. Didn't make any attempt to help, instead told me to call someone else and hung up angrily. Very bad experience and would not recommend them to anyone.

Response to Alex Dubit: The Foreclosure Laws of the State of Maryland allow a property owner to file bankruptcy or work out a forbearance arrangement with the lender up until sale time. The property owner's right to protect their home takes priority over any inconveniences experienced by property investors like yourself. As a convenience we update our web site immediately upon hearing of a cancellation. If you have any questions about auction procedures, please feel free to call us before posting a negative review.

This review is for their real estate sales. Stay out of this. Completely waste of time. I went for a house auction and the auction time was 9:40 am and I checked at 8 am and auction was still active. I drove almost 2 hrs to get there and once I arrived at 9:15 then I re-checked and auction was still a go but all sudden at 9:20 only 20 min before auction they just cross the address and said cancelled. A few people showed up and they were all pissed. One drove for 6 hours. They Cooper auction knew it they will canceled it the last min because they did not even send their staff to the location and

Coopers is the Baltimore areas high end auction house. They hold large auctions about once every six weeks or so. I often attend and browse what's available, and they have great eclectic mixes of Collectibles and investment quality pieces.
From what I've heard they aren't the easiest place to consign with, but then again almost all auction houses take advantage of their consignors. As a place to purchase a painting or piece of furniture, you can rely on their expertise.

This rug gallery and auction house also can be found online:
http://www.orientalrugsonline.com/

They are located close to one of the major malls in Baltimore. If you are not a rug pro/connousieur or you don't have $5000 to spend on a rug, check out their online stock and go in with the **exact details** of the rug you want. If you are not a high roller, they probably won't pay much attention to you (understandably).

While the website boasts the store to have one of the largest showrooms on the East coast with 30,000 square feet of rugs, I found it to be the size to be underwhelming
