We had an incredible time at the Morris House. The service was impeccable and went truly above and beyond. The gentleman who checked us in gave us a very cool history of the home and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and happy! The location is fabulous and within walking distance to everything. Highly recommend!!

The Morris House Hotel is a wonderful find in the heart of the historic district. It's within 2-3 blocks of independence hall and the liberty bell.
We were so pleased with our stay in room 304. The hotel is clean and decorated with decor and furniture of the time, so it's charming and cozy.
Be aware that there is no elevator - after all, the house was built in the 1700s and is a national landmark, so additions like that aren't always allowed on historic sites...but the staff is more than willing to help with bags up the stairs.
The breakfast has a little something for everyone and is a good

Absolutely adore this place! My mother and I stayed here while my father was in Penn Med Hosp. Such a lovely historic building! Beautiful courtyard, perfect for an intimate wedding or any small gathering.. The quest rooms are beautiful and cozy. Beds are very comfortable too! Tea and fresh baked cookies are served at 3pm every day in the library/dining room. Grab n go breakfast every morning too. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Eric, who set up the breakfast every morning, was so friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. Will definitely be back again!!!

Initially our first stay was pretty good and the hotel staff were accommodating. We decided to go back to the Morris House and this was due to a medical procedure that I needed to have and I needed access to a freezer in the suite. The staff assured me that Room 101 did not have a freezer and when I asked for a refund they said I could not get a refund. I was basically forced to stay at the Morris House because I would lose out on $800 for a couple of days. When we arrived at the hotel we discovered that the suite did indeed have a small freezer, but the staff did not bother to look for us although

Friendly front desk staff, even though we arrived very late. We stayed here in Sept of 2020, and received a great rate since not many people were traveling yet. I loved reading about the history of the hotel and journaling in the garden area. There was also a luxurious robe in the room for lounging. I can't imagine staying anywhere else anytime I come to Philadelphia. I loved the hotel so much that I considered planning a destination wedding there, but have to many guests to fit! Definitely stay here if you want a memorable trip!
