In March of this year (2021) my father passed away suddenly. During this heart wrenching time we were left with many questions as to how we handle his affairs. My brother, being the now head of the family, decided to go with an auctioneer/real estate person that he was introduced to by a friend and co-worker.

We had no idea what a nightmare this person would turn out to be. He literally held my father's house hostage and refused to sell it outright. He insisted on selling it through the auction process. In doing so, he turned away every interested party if they refused to put a $10,000 non-refundable deposit down.

Shepherdstown - Best Places to Live for a very good reason. It retains the ambiance of an earlier time, but it's not a museum. They town's historic heritage and beautifully preserved old buildings adapted to new uses, the many shops, restaurants, and venues for artists, craftsmen, and musicians make it a great place to live.
Located in the southernmost part of Berkeley County, Bunker Hill borders the Virginia line and Inwood is the community just up the road. These 2 communities are the choice for many commuters to the Virginia area. They both border I 81 so access to all places from Virginia up to Maryland is pretty easy.
No HOA Fee means there is no organization that collects money from you for an HOA Fee. There still could be some covenants and restrictions recorded - but if there's no HOA organization, there's no one to enforce them. What could happen is a neighbor could file a complaint with the county and have a legitimate argument if there are recorded restrictions on file at the courthouse.
Bordering the Maryland line and the Potomac River, Falling Waters is a popular community for commuters and those wanting to live near the water. Many people use Falling Waters as a bedroom community to commute to cities nearby and as far as Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. There are some beautiful spots in Falling Waters and living is still affordable.
Berkeley County is growing like crazy. Several large companies have opened branches here recently bringing lots of jobs to the area. People are attracted to Berkeley County because of the lower cost of housing, the investment potential and the variety of housing choices (in town, suburbs or rural).
