I had an opportunity to work at a restaurant in Italy when I stayed in Napoli with my Navy chaplain father.

Had a wonderful dinner this evening. They have stopped taking reservations, but if there is a wait list running when you arrive (about 30 minutes for us this evening), they will take your cell number and call you when your table is ready.
Dinner was very good. Service was as well. One of my favorite Italian restaurants. So happy to have them here in Gig Harbor.

To summarize II Lucano as a restaurant would be a disgrace to the owner. It is not just a normal restaurant, it is the Italian experience in the comfort of a warm and inviting setting. All the staff treat you with respect; and deliver the most outstanding food that was prepared by the wonderful chefs that work there. The owner is amazing and helps around like he was an employee and always is funny and inviting. Overall the mood and the food is amazing and I would highly recommend.

We are back, did our first escape room in a year and dinner after. We all ordered the Gembria in Camicia shrimp wrapped in prosciutto for an appetizer, all agreed it was a good choice. Sous-vide beef ribs, on noodles, old menu had grilled polenta, this is pot roast in texture wasnt a hit, really needed the polenta.
Gnocconi di formaggi, large gnocchi with wild.boar bolognese, Jessie this time got a hit he thought it was some of the best gnocchi, he loves his gnocchi. I tried the boar bolognese and have this dish on my to try next visit.

Extensive menu. And Extensive wine collection. The restaurant converted their indoor dining area into a wine storefront. Large selection, with many 25% off.
The outdoor patio is covered, and heat lamps are at every table. I was very comfortable dining while the outdoor temp was 40°
Wait staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating. My waiter made sure I was comfortable throughout.
