After turning 28 it seemed like my body aged more than it had any year prior. From lower back pain, to a pulled hamstring, tight hips, symptoms of sciatica, and the list continues. Since taking the yoga practice seriously at Amazing Yoga, I'm now pain free and running like I did at 21. Huge fan of Karen's and Sean's class - one slightly more focused on opening the hips/toning, the other offering a cardio variation. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to get their body back and train at a high level.

This studio definitely caters exclusively to a young crowd of people who already know how to do yoga. The instructors do not demo anything and offer extremely limited hands-on assistance. If you want a super sweaty yoga session and you are already familiar with the poses and cues, you'll have a lot of fun! If not, you might be miserable.
Their rates are fairly affordable.

This was my very first hot yoga class. I loved it. I didn't think I would but it was a good relaxing time. I was set up all the way to the side of the room though so at times it was a little hard to hear. I suggest just trying to get somewhere around the middle. I felt welcomed since the moment I walked in and this is a big plus when entering a new workout studio. I look forward to my next class.

Amazing yoga is just that..Amazing! The owners, Karen and Sean are some of the most down to earth and welcoming people I have ever met. I took my retreat style yoga teacher training in Tulum, Mexico with them in 2010. It was life changing! All of these years later I still keep in contact with those I met on the retreat. I have also gone on retreats to Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast. The retreats are very well balanced with many options to do excursions as a group or venture off and do your own thing. The yoga is very thoughtful, powerful and can accommodate a mostly all levels practice. The accommodations

I love it. The teachers are amazing and they give incredibly specific adjustments. I wish I could take this place back to Atlanta with me. They have a really nice community of people there. Everybody is nice and welcoming. If I'm being 100% honest I wish it was just a touch hotter, but I really like the studio.

Such a warm and welcoming studio! As someone with a regular yoga practice, I’ve started attempting to take a class whenever and wherever I travel. The class I took at Amazing Yoga the day after Thanksgiving did not disappoint! I felt immediately comfortable in what you could tell was a closely knit community and the class was every bit as challenging as my home base studio. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Pittsburgh. Thanks Amazing Yoga!

A very cute studio with very wonderful instructors. I love that they have three changing rooms not just a bathroom! I love hot vinyasa yoga I've been doing it for about a year and a half. They do a good job at getting a sweat out of you! Here are a few things that could be great for you or eh depending on how you like to practice. They don't do a lot of hands on assists, I love some assists so this is an eh for you but if you like your zone it could be good. They also move very quickly so you get a good work out, could be a positive if that's what you want! Unfortunately I love

I've been going to Amazing Yoga for almost a decade. I love hot power yoga. I do miss however the 90 min classes and classes without music. A lot of the 75 min classes recently changed to 60 mins. Also all classes have music. Some is hip hop music. Make sure to check the schedule for class type and time.

This is a great yoga studio. I've been going on and off for years. It's a power yoga class that is strenuous enough that you can count it as a workout, and the heated room allows you to also limber up tight muscles. As a runner, I'm certain that it's a big part of what keeps me half-way flexible and injury free.
All classes are set to music. Starting with loud hip-hop/dance music, followed by rock/pop, then more indie/folk, and finishing up with trance/meditative. In other words, everyone will hate the music for at least 15 minutes of the class. For me, it's the beginning

I LOVE AMAZING YOGA!!!
I've moved to the suburbs after living in Pittsburgh proper for upwards of 10 years and I continue to trek back just to attend classes at Amazing Yoga. The vibe is amazing, the classes are challenging, and I always leave feeling relaxed and just a bit healthier. I have yet to find a studio in my new area that provides a comparable service.
Parking can be tricky but if you go to an early class you shouldn't have trouble finding either a spot on the street or in one of the small lots nearby. There's also a parking garage close by.

This was the first yoga class I had ever attended almost 13 years ago and I was hooked. Karen (the owner) was the instructor and she was incredible. She made me feel strong and empowered and I wanted to do this class everyday. So I started to go a lot. Slowly, I started noticing the instructors becoming less engaged and the class becoming more of a workout than a place to really unplug and reset. Fast forward 13 years. I've lived in a few different states, practiced a few different styles of yoga, and have become really engaged in yoga not only as a workout, but as a cleanse for my mind and spirit

I took my first classes at Amazing Yoga this past week. The classes were challenging and the sweat was pouring off my brow. I appreciated how the classes started and ended in a more reflective and calming state, but how the bulk of the class was ramped up and fast-paced. It really made me focus on my breath. So glad I've found this studio - and I am excited to add more yoga to my weekly routine.

I took my first class here this week, and I injured my back. I originally came here because I've been having chronic shoulder blade pain, and thought appropriate stretching and strengthening of my back would help. After the class (and quite honestly, during it too), instead of feeling better about myself and my body as you would expect, I felt worse. The next day my whole body was in pain, especially my back and my previous injury. Granted, you're bound to feel pain after you engage muscles you usually never use. But this was not my case. I do weight training and HIIT workouts multiple

There are just too much people. The classroom is always noisy before class starts which does not help when you are trying to find some peace of mind after work. The music is nice but I would agree that it feels more like a fitness studio. Like other comments, the classes can be very challenging and teachers are friendly, but they do not demonstrate or correct postures. If you are new to yoga, I would not recommend it because you are likely to injure yourself just listening to the instructions. In addition, there's no place for shower taken into the consideration that everyone sweat tons.

I switch between Amazing Yoga and Yoga Flow, and there is defiantly a different vibe to the two, I pick based on my mood and schedule where I go for the day. Amazing Yoga is more of a power, quick pace, cardio workout. They're focus isn't on perfect positioning, holding poses for a long time, or lots of meditation talk-- its about making your heart race and working out using yoga as a base. I could see how it would be a hard studio for newer yogis, the transitions are fast and they don't walk you through each pose. You're kind of expected to know the basics. Even in the yoga

This is where I began my yoga experience. The fact that years later I have nothing to compare it with speaks to the fact that I felt no need to look further. I love the "hot" of hot yoga. Staff is friendly and helpful and uniquely caring. Appreciate variation of certain poses suggested for those of us with creaky knees. Love the early morning classes which are ideal for fitting in to a busy schedule and quite welcoming for older practioners. Especially nice at those times of the year where the sun is rising during class. Enter in the dark leave in the light temporally and spiritually

I don't know how they get away with calling it hot yoga!? It is warm at best. I tried going to 6 classes now and all of them were the same. The instructors opened the windows and said we would use our own internal heat to get hot which is fine in theory but I didn't pay for and take the time to drive to a regular non-heated yoga class. I'm so confused. My classes are up and I am now on the mission for an actual heated hot yoga studio.
**The instructors were very nice though!

I used to like Amazing yoga, but it has really gone downhill. Several instructors are EXCELLENT, but otherwise the classes are sort of unremarkable. It's more like a fitness studio than a yoga studio which is fine if that's what you are looking for.
They are also pretty bad about managing subscriptions and really not interested in helping you when there's a mistake. Several people I know have had problems with buying multi-class passes which the studio says don't appear on their accounts.
Normally I would give the studio 3 stars, but I had a personal experience which really lowers my esteem.

To be honest this is the first yoga studio I have ever been to but I really like it so far. I am just getting started in the yoga practiced and I was nervous that I wouldn't know what to do without an instructor to follow but that was not the case. The instructors that I have been to circle the room and help those who need it and the movies are basic enough for all levels. They also do a good job of verbally providing corrections as part of their instruction and I always feel like they are talking directly to me (although I'm sure I'm not the only one with my palms down when they

I hesitate to review this place, because the people I know who love it here love it with such intense devotion that I almost feel I'm personally betraying them by not giving it 4 or 5 stars. C'est la vie :).
My experience level with yoga is moderate, if that helps. I have tried pretty much all the yoga studios in the East End for several classes each. That said, I am a dabbler in yoga, not a dedicated. multiple-times-per week practitioner, so take my review with that disclaimer in mind.
I have three reasons for my three stars:

I'm going to miss this place so much.
After a car accident that left me with an injured lower back, I couldn't lift weights or run or do any of my normal routine workouts. I looked into hot yoga and decided to give this place a shot.
The heated room is perfect for stretching out your muscles and sweating out toxins, and the 60min/75min practice sessions are amazingly adaptable for beginners or advanced yogis. I haven't been able to find a yoga place that provides such a rigorous, yet satisfying workout. Even if you don't have the flexibility, endurance, or strength, you

I enjoy this version of power yoga. I like the pacing of it. It is not much about the philosophy, and to me, that's ok; I'm there for a workout.
I think the temperature of the room is pleasantly hot. It's not unbearable, and they do turn on the fan when it starts to get too hot. The fact though that there are no showers and no real locker room is why I bumped my review down to 4 stars. The facilities in general are lacking (only 1 bathroom too, and 3 changing rooms).
The class moves quickly if you take the "all levels" option. There is very little instruction on
