Since 2005, our founder, Mr. Jeremy Ray, PE, has performed over 1000 investigations on a wide variety of cases ranging from football stadiums to water towers, but has focused mainly on residential and commercial building systems failures. Licensed to practice in multiple states, he has proudly served clients in the insurance and legal fields, as well as realtors, contractors, universities, municipalities, school districts, and individual owners.
Unfortunately, the definition of a new permanent foundation provided in the guide does not consider many common mobile home foundation construction practices to be "permanent". For many years Apex Forensic Engineers has been able to assist buyers and agents by performing mobile home foundation inspections and providing structural engineer letters certifying existing mobile home foundations.
Apex's special inspection department inspects construction projects throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia as part of the International Code Council Chapter 17 requirements. Our inspectors are well versed in the installation of deep foundations and helical pile foundations, structural steel and wood, among others.

Mr. Ray was sent to my residence to look into a claim I had made with the insurance company. First impressions are lasting impressions. Mr. Ray was over a half hour late for an appointment he set the day and time for. Second Mr. Ray was very rude in the way that he answered my questions. He was running around snapping pictures like he was late for his own funeral. Thirdly but most importantly he adds a lot of language in his reports that you haven't said. Never talk to Mr. Ray if is doing a job for you on behalf of the insurance company. Always video record his every move that way you will have

Selling my house and the buyer got quotes from a couple of foundation companies because of some brick cracking. The quotes were all over the place. I called Apex for an unbiased opinion and they were able to determine that no repairs were necessary. Saved me $1000s and I was able to sell the house with a professional engineers letter rather than a contractor's quote.
