I was searching online for places to get my hair trimmed near oak lawn and I stumbled upon this place. I'm so glad that I chose to come here. It's super clean and they do a great job.

I am near tears. I went for a trim yesterday. The stylist barely wet my hair. She would cut a bit and ask me if I liked it. While most of my hair was clipped up. Nearly impossible to tell. She didn’t blend my layers so she had to cut more. She cut so much off and didn’t even do it right. I wanted a trim and left looking like a chicken with my feather’s plucked out. Months of growing out my undercut pixie down the drain.

A few months ago I came here to get my hair done and they did a wonderful job! I was so pleased and satisfied that I recommended this spot to my daughter to get her hair done on her prom day. When I had picked her up, her hair was not even the color that she chose her hair went from medium Length to very very very short and uneven chopped hair. We were very dissatisfied with this service and that will be the last time that we ever go there.

Very bad haircut. Stylist did not even look at hair a few times while taking several inches off. Empty stations dusty, so a sign not whole place card for.

This is a review I've been meaning to write for a long time. I was a first-time customer in June and my hairstylist, Liz, was just spectacular. No exaggeration, the best hairstylist I've had in years! She made me feel comfortable, we had good conversation, and she walked me through the cut and gave me suggestions suited for my face shape and hair type. She's incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in her craft and it shows in the best haircut I've ever had. 10/10 would come back.

First time client and I went to Liz to get rid of my blonde and go back to my natural brunette. She did a great job matching my hair color and toning my tips to a lighter shade. I took her suggestion and also went with bangs and my hair looks great! Definitely recommend this place and going to Liz as your stylist.

Mary is amazing! She recommended I cut my hair shorter because It would match me better and I couldn't agree more! She has a great personality and made time fly by! Highly recommend! Especially if you love talking about 90 day fiance

I booked my appointment with Liz. And let me say she did a beautiful job! She was so kind and social!
The salon was a very relaxed environment and not catty like some others can be.
Liz not only transformed my hair but she was very informative about the process and shared her tips to keep colored hair alive.
She was gentle and always asked how I felt when she was detangling or washing my hair.
I love that she leant herself to listen to my crazy stories lol.
I honestly didn’t even fee the 4 hours I was there. I felt like I showed up, had a great chat with a friend and left. It was that smooth

The stylist that I had is very inexperienced. Very nice young women, however, needs more education. The owner needs to provide additional training. The cost of a haircut and blowdry is very expensive for an inexperienced stylist. The last two haircuts were at a cost of $38; this is above what the salon has posted on the website. I was informed that the cost is a flat rate of $38 for any stylist regardless of experience. The salon is empty with no supervision. After my last haircut, I had to go to Supercuts in Orland Park, at a much lower cost, and had it adjusted to blend it to be able to style

I went today with my daughter for our first time. Dina was our stylist she helped us decide which cut was a good choice for our hair type. My daughter's haircut was really cute still had the length but with healthy ends. I also got a trim and a toner for my brassy yellow blonde. I showed Dina the picture of what I wanted and she achieved something close to what was possible with my level of blonde and i actually love it more!! I'll definitely be going back. Oh and she helped me with the best shampoo for my thin/dry hair. The best part is the prices! You won't be disappointed I promise.

I had my first haircut here today and I am thrilled. Liz listened to what I wanted and created a beautiful style. Looking forward to getting my hair professionally colored by Liz next time. The value of the cut is amazing at $19. So glad I read other reviews and went to Cutting Edge!

Went in today to get a balayage done and I absolutely love it. Sky was my stylist and she did an amazing job on my hair. She was so precise and took her time to make sure it blended well, which it did. Reasonably priced and I will definitely be back for her to do my hair.

Wosrt place ever do not come here they are so unprofessional. they do not know how cut hair my hair came out uneven. spend your money somewhere else not here.

I came in Thursday with a mess (multiple layers and lots of texturing from a previous salon) and was fortunate to get an appointment for a haircut with Dina. I felt at ease with her recommendations and appreciated her professionalism in assessing what had previously been done. She worked her magic and I left with a very easy-to-manage style that I love. One feels immediately welcome at Cutting Edge, the vibe is friendly and genuine. Many thanks to everyone who made my visit amazing! The front desk, several assistants and, of course, Dina.

I just moved to the area and thought I would try out this salon. Getting an appointment quick was amazing. I went in with a picture of the other bob that I desired which I got from one of their social media platforms but what I got was a botched bob that is far shorter than I ever expected it to be! I wouldn't recommend this salon and they didn't follow with the style I asked for and the picture I provided. I struggled to pay for the hair cut and cried when I got in the car with how short it was.

You have me confused with another customer; I was there the first week of June. I recently went to another salon and the stylist there was shocked. She agreed that curly hair should never be cut dry unless it's completely flat ironed and that wasn't the case the day I came in. In addition, I had some sections of hair that were 4 inches shorter than others...I never wanted my hair in layers to begin with. I was tempted to come back to the salon but I was very upset with the original service and I didn't want any more damage done.

If I could give less than one star I would. When I left I went directly to a different salon to have it fixed as much as I could. Still not happy with it. Will never go back.

I walked in expecting an average discount haircut. I walked out looking and feeling like a million bucks. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I personally had Roberta cut my hair and it was a great experience!!! Definitely recommend. If you're on a tight budget but looking for that million dollar look COME HERE!!
