I hesitate to give five stars after only one visit, but if my first visit was any indication....
In town for business, I relied on a couple of local contacts for a dinner recommendation, and Three Birds was on their short list.
Arriving shortly after its 5 p.m. opening, I found a seat at the bar and was greeted immediately. The bartender offered a menu, a drink (if I already knew -- which I did) and generally made me feel at home. Part of the dynamic of visiting a small town is that folks know their neighbors, and they know if you're not one of them. When they know and treat you like

Had high expectations, based upon what I was told. Waited for over an hour for our food after our salads. When our food did come, our ribeyes were over cooked....im usually not one to complain, as I worked in the food service industry for 20 years. But we were disappointed. Probably won't be back. Uggg.

Superb scallops wrapped in prosciutto with goat cheese risotto, peas and bean sprouts. Butternut squash soup was also full of flavor. Excellent choices of ingredients in all the dishes without overdoing it. Recommend the pecan crusted pork tenderloin and the lobster broth as well. Excellent service!

My boyfriend too me to dinner here last night on our getaway to the area. Our entire experience was wonderful. Great bottle of wine. Yummy appetizer. His lamb was cooked perfect. My salmon was amazing. All to end with delicious desert. Plus we had an amazing server who was attentive polite and friendly.

We made a reservation a week in advance to make sure we could enjoy a night out. The food was put together very elegantly. I myself have never had lamb so I tried the ¹/² rack of lamb. The meat melted in your mouth cooked to perfection. If you thought steak is great, it's not even comparable to this flavor. The sides, the sauce, the drinks it all went together for taste perfection. Great service and fast. We had to rush out se we couldn't stay for desert. We will be returning so we can enjoy another first.

Simply put:
Great atmosphere, amazing food.
Experience:
At first me and my grandparents were reluctant to go up to the second floor seating area, but once we did, it was worth it. We had a great view of the streets below, and had great food and good service. My Grandma really liked the wine.
Appetizers:
I shared the mussel appetizer with my Grandpa, they were cooked well, and the olive bread was good as well. My grandma got the hot and sour meatballs, they were pretty good as well.
Main Course:
I got the beef tip ravioli, good ravioli, the cheese inside was a bit sweet, and the beef tip

I have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant. I made a reservation in advance for 7 PM and was seated right away at a nice table by the front with plenty of light and a view of the street outside. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive- she made sure that we got all of our needs addressed. We got the oysters and soup to start, with some bread & butter. Oysters and soup were good, bread was better than expected! Can always appreciate a place with nice bread For entrees, I tried the New York strip with herb butter and mahi mahi. The fish seemed a little over cooked but

This was my first In restaurant dining experience in 8 months due to Covid and I'm very glad I selected Three Birds. I ordered the carb cake starter, the pecan crusted pork tenderloin and tiramisu which I took to go. I am currently 8 months pregnant and very picky about my food right now and turned off by various textures and nothing here grossed me out.
I was hesitant to order the crab cakes, more often than not the ones you get in restaurants lack meat and are just fillers. Or the sauce that comes with them is just blah. This cake did not disappoint, it was a different sauce than you would

I have terrible, terrible luck with ordering steak. I always get it and then inevitably say we could have done that home for less than half the cost. This was not the case here. Cook and seasoning was great, potatoes and asparagus were tasty as well. Shared a crab cake app and again, was really good. Service was very friendly and quick. Price wasn't too bad for a classier type restaurant either. If you're looking for a nice going out dinner option in Corning this is a good option for sure.

The service and food were amazing. Susie was our waitress and she was super friendly and attentive. My husband and I ordered: sweet potatoes and lime ceviche (AMAZING) and the specials that night (cod and duck entrees). The menu was filled with vegan and vegetarian options which made me very happy. From the bread to the main course, the only thing that we were disappointed was how we didn't have enough room for dessert.

Ignore the outdated decor; the food is great.
Excellent service in both the dining room (by Sheila) and bar area (by John S).
Reservations are a must, even during the week. If you don't plan ahead, and there are no tables available, DO sit in the bar area; the food is that good and you may order from the bar menu as well as the full restaurant menu.
We visited twice on our recent one-week vacation to the Finger Lakes. On both visits, I enjoyed the SWEET watercress strawberry watermelon salad; the fruit was SWEET and so was the dressing which tasted like it contained pureed fresh strawberries
