Soft brie cheese in delicate puff pastry, with raspberry sauce, toasted almonds and flatbread crackers. Charming and quaint, The Champagne House is located in picturesque down town Hammondsport New York, the heart of the Finger Lakes and the Keuka Lake Wine Trail. All rooms are non-smoking. 1835 House is located just off the village square, lake block. Completely remodeled, furnished 2 bedroom suite, each room with a queen bed, & contemporary minimalist-style dcor. Separate living room with sofa, ceiling fans, a/c, and 42 flat screen cable TV. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and washer/dryer.

Positives: Located right on the village square 2 blocks from lake. Room was clean with a decent, modernized bathroom. Service in restaurant was pleasant. Downsides: Moldy smell in room, rather uncomfortable bed, deck outside room aged & not very sturdy, noisy bar across alleyway. Restaurant was overpriced and food was salty.

Terrible. If I could give a zero, I would. They lost our “ticket” so after 45 minutes, they said their sorrys and brought our food out almost an hour later. My salad was lettuce, 4 shavings of parm cheese, and a few sun-dried tomatoes. My husband’s fish was less than to be desired. Way overpriced for even an average meal!

I have been going to this restaurant for over two years. The service and the food have been good. My wife and I have always been generous tippers. The waitress kept telling us it was because of a big party order. Not true. Because I am a Vietnam combat veteran, I have issues. Being lied to is a trigger to me. I walked into the restaurant finally saw our waitress and asked for the check. She had our food in her hand. No thanks, check please. I went back to my seat. Then some guy comes out and starts saying I was going to buy your meal. All I want is my check. Your not getting a check. We got up

I have been eating here for alot of years. I was away for the last 2 years so i stopped in tonight for a quick light snack. I had the seafood chowder and I tell you it is amazing as always. I ended up getting a large container to go just to potentially share with friends but let's be real, I'm already finding excuses to justify saving for myself. To be completely honest I took the lid off just now as I'm writing this and ate some cold. No joke amazing to eat cold. Do yourself a favor and try this place you will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the Inn for two nights, and also ate dinner at the restaurant. The room was very spacious. The first night, I attempted to take a bath, because the tub was the perfect size for one. The water was brown, the hot water ran out, and the tub did not hold the water. The second night, the water was clear, and we had plenty of hot water. The restaurant food was excellent, but the service was not good. The host and hostess were extremely hospitable. My husband ordered a beer, which she gave him the wrong one. It took her a while to come back to check on him. She did admit, it was the wrong

The room was clean and comfortable. It is well situated in town with restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. However, the Wifi never worked during our stay. We talked to the bartender downstairs but the issue wasn't resolved. Also, be advised that if you stay in room 3 or 4, there will be considerable late night noise from the bar across the street.
