Competitive athletes Jon Hoag and Julie Theroux decided they shared the dream of creating a destination shopping environment for bikes, triathlon and indoor fitness. More importantly, they wanted to bring this unique idea to Northwest Ohio where they, and their families, live. When a local shop with two locations went up for sale in October of 2014, the dream was born.

The Horizon 7.0 AT treadmill is highly rated in Consumer Reports. It is a folding model which is perfect since my exercise room has limited space. After searching for this model, I found it sold locally at CycleWerks, and their price was about $100 less than anyone else. I paid extra for delivery and setup because I could not carry it up the stairs to the 2nd floor where I needed it. The owner and his son delivered it and set it up for me, and they were very professional and courteous.

We needed to purchase a kid bike trailer for our bikes. Did a lot of research online, and even picked out the one we wanted. Decided to check around with some local dealers to see if they carried it so that we could buy local rather than Amazon. Cycle Werks had the exact trailer in stock for the same price as Amazon. They were incredibly helpful, and answered all of our remaining questions, and even ordered the optional seat pads for us. 100% satisfied, and will purchase new bikes when we can!

Amazing purchase experience! Finding a bike has been nearly impossible for the past 15 months and counting...finding 2 bikes at once was awesome! The staff was very patient and professional. The staff at Cycle Werks goes above and beyond! Loved the whole experience. We bought two bikes there and while we paid they added pedals, mirrors, kickstands, and we were ready to roll. Bikes felt amazing! We road 10 miles on the trail next to the store before loading up and heading for home. Two thumbs up!

HUGE shoutout to Cycle Werks! I thought I needed a new bike, but instead they encouraged me to just replace some parts. It was half the cost, and my bike is like new! They went above and beyond by helping me put my bike rack on (that I didn't purchase there and was a bit of a pain)! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. So happy!!

On a cross country tour, a tire blew out. Got a new tire, tubes, pump, and stuffs. They had what I need and got the job done, but they didn't do good job putting the wheel back on the bike with the quick release lever on a weird angle and loosened, and they also charged one more tube that I didn't buy. The girl was nice and let me grab another one. Somehow felt I was rushed out by the sales guy. Probably because I was having caffein crash and was a dirty tourist to him. Been in the bike industry for years, its got lousy aspects for sure.

About 6 years ago, I purchased a bike from another bike shop in Toledo who shall remain nameless (think north on Secor road). After buying the bike I returned for maintenance and found that I was looked down on and dismissed as a "newbie". At one point I overheard the tech guy refer to my weight issue, questioning why my bike needed a tune-up because "clearly she isn't riding it". My experience with the nameless shop was so uncomfortable, that when I needed follow-up support I refused to go back and just drifted from the sport.
