We are a Soul Food restaurant who's aim is to provide an eating experience reminiscent of the past. When dining with us we hope to evoke fond memories of a time you once enjoyed that particular meal. We often hear our customers stories about how a menu item tastes just like their mother's or grandmother's recipe.
Without question we offer a more than you could ask for flavor profile in all that we do. In all that we offer it is important that we reference our ancestral heritage as a way to preserve tradition. We do dishes that are traditional to not just black families but to country folks nationwide. Our food is NOT fast food.

Decided to check this place out while visiting in the area. I got the fried pork chop combo with fried potatoes and cabbage. My boyfriend got fried chicken with mac&chz and collard greens. The pork chop was cooked well but could definitely use some more seasoning. The potatoes were good! The cabbage was ehhhhh but the greens were good. The mac&chz and cornbread were really disappointing especially coming from a soul food place. The sweet tea tasted like sugar water, I'm assuming they used a flavored syrup and not actual tea. All in all really disappointing. The customer service was

We came back after an absence and they did not disappoint! After wonderful omelets and fried potatoes we tucked into their home-baked toast and it absolutely worth the carbs. An excellent stick to your ribs meal which we throughly enjoyed. Thank you and fair warning we will be back very soon. Consistently great quality food.

So my wife and I were in the area for our honeymoon. On our last day we wanted to try something totally different. Let me just say this is a must have for anyone in the area. The food was spectacular and so tasty. We love the half and half and lemonade. Everything spoke of a home atmosphere from the food to the amazing service we received. We were so grateful to the 2 soul sisters who are actually sisters and the owners of this establishment. The chicken wings, pork chops, Mac cheese, onion potatoes, collard greens and potato salad were simply amazing!!!! And the home sauce for chicken wings was

As much as I keep trying to love the food here, it misses the mark for me each time. I've now given this business three opportunities to impress me and it simply hasn't. It's always been clean, and the staff friendly but the food is just okay. I haven't tried one thing that I'd say is 'great or amazing' from the salmon cakes, fried fish, fried potatoes, etc. Yes, it's eatable but unfortunately isn't something I'd drive out of my way to get. I wish this business well and given that it's a local operation I will do my best to support it when

We stopped in about 6:45 on a Saturday night. There was no one else in the place but we decided to give it a try anyway. We ordered the Pork Chop dinner with collard greens, potato salad and a dinner roll and the Jumbo Shrimp Dinner with Mac n cheese, French fries, and corn bread. We asked for it to go and was told it would be about 25 mins. I waited inside while the meal was made to order. When we were driving home, the food was so hot, it was burning my legs as I tried to hold it. I was shocked to find that the Pork Chop dinner came with TWO pork chops. They were breaded and deep fried like chicken

I am so glad my friend found this delightful place. The food reminded me of my roots and the phenomenal fried pork chops reminded me of my much beloved Aunt's own cooking.
Most restaurants of any kind severely overcook and under flavor fried pork chops but both of the pork chops I had were perfectly prepared and actually juicy and tender.
I also enjoyed the fried potatoes and onions and they were also a reminder of my deep Southern roots. The yams were perfectly seasoned and quite tasty.
The home run has to be the Butter Pecan cake. Absolutely made from scratch and absolutely worth every penny

1st the good. Since I don't eat pork I always ask whether or not the pork items are fried in the same oil as the non pork items. The owner informed that its is but she offered to fry my fish and shrimp in different oil. Also the fish and shrimp was good and tasty and then lemonade was definitely fresh squeezed and you get a lot.
Now the bad... It took over 30 minutes for me to get my food and there was only 1 other customer in the store. Plus the sides I got were mac and cheese and the potatoes and onions which tasted as if its was warmed up and that its may have been in the fridge (in other words

Been meaning to try this locally owned non-chain business for quite a while. Finally got a chance to stop in for lunch today. It's a small place, two four tops and two six tops. Limited seating outside as well. You order at the counter and they bring you the food.
Menu isn't large, but you should be able to find something you like. As well they have breakfast all day featuring their famous homemade Scrapple. Since we grew up in Pennsylvania we're always looking for good scrapple which we just can't get down here in Maryland.
We ordered the scrapple and pancakes and the scrapple

So I found this spot on Yelp! I went to Upper Marlboro today and decided to swing back by this space. Coming from the state in the south I've been missing good food like this. Being in the military haven't been home in a minute.
I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. I haven't eaten the food yet, but the service and packaging was AMAZING! I also was gifted by idk who a whole separate meal of Lobster tails! The family atmosphere was so evident in this restaurant from the moment you walk in. Even though we are suffering from an EPIDEMIC that small business are affected, but this

This place is a gem! We got the Boss Plate 2.0 which consisted of oysters, lobster, shrimp, fish, crab cake, with two sides, and corn bread. It was perhaps one of the best fried seafood I’ve ever had. The fish wasn’t oily or dry at all, it was very juicy and flakey when biting into and still maintained its crunch. The lobster - omg the lobster was just to die for. Fried to perfection. The fried oysters and shrimp was also perfect, again it wasn’t overly deep fried but it was fried the perfect amount.
It is for sure a family run business and you can for sure taste their passion and love for

The best bang for your buck! I had the most delicious french toast and sausage breakfast which the staff shared was all made from scratch and my friend had one of the breakfast sandwiches (which I had a bite of) and everything was delicious. The staff was knowledge and informative about the food and how everything was made. I only was sad to have come in too late and missed the scrapple for the day! Affordable and delicious! I will come back here anytime I'm visiting.

We got carryout from 2 Soul Sisters a few times when we were in the area for a weeklong holiday. It was the best food we had on the trip - I would definitely recommend it.
The food was all fantastic, the people are friendly, and they have a good carryout setup during Covid. The standout dishes were the fried shrimp, fried fish, salmon cake, and the liver and onions. Among the sides, the collards, potato salad, potatoes and onions, and mac and cheese were all exceptional.

Really impressed with this new take out restaurant. Every single item we tried was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. I don't typically like pork chops or eat pork much at all, but after seeing a picture I had to order because it looked so good and it beats any pork chop I've ever had., moist and flavorful. Not only was the meat seasoned but also the breading. Did I mention it doesn't just come with one huge pork chop but 2? The collard greens are out of this world, and again have the perfect seasoning without being salty; fresh and zero bitterness. The Mac and cheese and deviled
