My friends and I were looking for a nice brunch spot and we found it. The view on the water, the food, and ambience was very nice. They were pretty busy which affected the service. It took awhile for our food to come out so much so were comp the dried oysters rockefeller (which was amazing, btw). The Chesapeake omelette was delicious. I will definitely be going back for brunch (sooner than later).

The Charles Street Brasserie is a restaurant that is supposed to be an insight into fine dining: controlled portions of rich food, live musicians, sophisticated décor, and a dim and inviting ambience.
However, the reality is that the restaurant serves as a caricature of fine dining and regularly misses the mark on quality. The live music is frequently imposing, and no table feels far enough away to stop it from interrupting conversation, and increasing the level of stress from an experience supposed to be soothing. The sophisticated décor would be tolerable, if it wasn't the case that diners

Took my wife here for our anniversary. Outside appearances were a bit deceptive, but inside was very nice. The Tapas menu had multiple items that we wanted to try so we opted to order just those, and it did not disappoint. Everything was very tasty. The service was above standards.

We went in mid-December, and it was a tad nippy at the far end of the dining area where we sat. I had my wife sit towards the inner area so she was near where the heat was coming out of the ceiling, and I just kept my jacket on. It's a ticky-tacky issue, but I thought I would bring it up anyway if anyone

This is one of our two favorite places in Solomons Island. we love its ambience, food, drinks, and services. As we never make reservations, we sometimes have to sit at the bar, but we always enjoy being there.

Sunday brunch was excellent! Nice atmosphere, water views and live entertainment. One suggestion…food was lukewarm when served…monitor plating of the food…but it was absolutely delicious!

Usually one of my favorite places. But I was a little disappointed this trip. 3 of us visited on Sunday (9/19/2021) around 415pm. Our waitress Elizabeth was great. Friendly, attentive & responsive. However, the food was not their usual quality. pulled pork was described as"bland", the Crab Mac & cheese was void of the "Lump" crabmeat and my filet mignon bruscetta was very undercooked and tough. The cocktails (Mint julep & Manhattan) and desserts (Carrot cake and cheesecake) made things a little better.

Quaint, relaxing and filling. This place has the location and the nautical atmosphere to go along with it. I dined on the sesame crusted tuna and the chapters salad and very much enjoyed both. The flavors were very good, however, the tuna was slightly chewy.

We went as a group and had a great time.

The Tapas are a perfect sharing size! I am vegetarian and also a chef, and have high expectations for quality and taste. The stuffed portobello plate was out of this world. Amazing texture, taste, and presentation. Recommend 10/10. My husband loved the crab cakes.

This was an amazing restaurant. We went on a Sunday for Brunch and got the berries waffles.. the breakfast bowl with egg, potato, bacon, avocado, peppers & onions and the crab omelette. The food was delicious. The water view was beautiful and we were serenaded with a wonderful singer at the piano. They also offer mimosas and Bloody Mary’s.

We had a bit of a wait. Took the outside table. Tapas were on special, which we ordered. All 6 of our dishes were very good. Only regular menu item selected was rock fish, which our companions thought to be fantastic. Enjoyed the sunset

We felt the reception and service were slow & indifferent. A man who seemed like the manager walked through the dinning room to greet his guests; he looked at our table, caught our eye, but moved away to greet the opp. table. Why? We have been trying different places in Solomons for past several weekends, this is the first place that made us feel we were unwelcome. The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about. The smoked Salmon was really dry, which felt like it had been taken out overnight; We were not impressed by the service or the taste of the food. The waterfront view was nice, but every

Fantastic atmosphere.
Best brunch ever.
Menu is Tappas, and good, but it's not for everyone. A broader traditional menu might be nice.

Went for a nice dinner my wife. Service was absolutely amazing and so was the food. With 3 minutes of us walking in 4 separate employees greeted us and asked if we had been helped yet. Once we got to our table our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had anything we needed. The food is a little pricey but was amazing and well worth the cost. We will definitely be returning in the future.

This is the first time for my wife and I to eat here. We came based on reviews. We will not be going back. We were very disappointed in this place. The service was terrible. Our server took too long to come take our order. When we finally got our food there was no steak knives with our steaks. My wife wanted salt for her garlic mashed potatoes. We sat and sat for a long time before, my broccoli and mashed potatoes were gone when our server came back to check on us and the potatoes were cold and the steak was cold when we finally got knives and salt. Even if the steak was warm it had no flavor what

This place is the crown jewel of Solomons Island and a must do. I've been here three times now and it never disappoints. Water front dining at its best with spataular views, charming decor, lively atmosphere including piano bar, friendly engaging staff and of course great food and specialty drinks. I had the rockfish and was perfectly prepared (not drenched in butter) and portion appropriately. Do yourself and your family a favor by going here.

First things first. Jon (I hope I spelled this correctly) last Friday was AMAZING. One of the best servers I've ever had. He gave his opinions on the menu genuinely and was so nice and attentive. The food was ok. I will def come back for the lamb. THE BREAD. Even the things that were just ok were 10x better with the bread.

Wet good restaurant, food was great. We went for the stuffed rock fish and the stuffed salmon. Both were were presented at good food temperatures.

Piano player was very good. Great ambiance. Restaurante is oriented toward the pier during sunset. Super nice views. On the expensive side, but good experience.
