In doing so, they provided the residents of Steger a "choice" in funeral homes, without having to leave their hometown, for the first time in over 40 years. The property had previously been the home of their late aunt and uncle - long-time Steger residents. After their aunt died, John and Joe became owners of the property, and soon decided the best way to utilize the property.
