Services
I know that starting the process of attending therapy can be scary and overwhelming. This is why I take a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to my work with clients. In our time together, we will determine past and present barriers that are getting in the way of you finding success in work, relationships or overall daily functioning.
Through flexibility and convenience, you can make therapy your own. You have the comfort of your own space and he potency of healing connection, practical coping tools and real relief. We can see clients anywhere in Colorado. If you want expert help but don't live near the Denver area, you have access to us and we would love to work with you.
In therapy, you will learn practical and helpful tools to relieve depression, break old habits, and feel renewed motivation. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques such as thought journaling, finding cognitive errors and talking to yourself in a gentler way. Mindfulness skills to be present in the moment and be free from replaying the past or worrying about the future.
I never looked for treatment for my anxiety. I knew that I worried more than my friends; I always felt the worst was going to happen. After professional treatment, I have tools to calm myself down. My anxiety has come down, but even when it rears its ugly head I know what's happening and I know what to do.
Because of my traumatic childhood I never felt safe in the world. I always had my guard up. I couldn't relax the way other people could. I always looked for danger and was sensitive to the way other people could hurt or abandon me. My therapist showed me how trauma affected me, and how to talk about it in a way that was so freeing; I finally feel safe and grown up enough to handle problems.

Amelia has been a mentor and consultant for over five years. I watched her healing journey begin working in Community Mental Health and have continued to meet with her as a consultant for my own professional development. I have made some beautiful changes in my life with her guidance and support. As a consultant and a healer she is so magnificently humble and authentic. I am forever grateful.

I've had the privilege of working alongside Erin as a colleague. Erin is a leader in best practice. She has put in the hard work to research and train to become the best therapist she can be for her clients, which is why she is someone I regularly refer to. She is also a trailblazer in building a thriving group practice, hiring and investing in other excellent therapists to reach even more people. Erin is brilliant and talented, and at the same time one of the most gentle and approachable people I've met.

Erin and her team and Thrive Counseling have consistently been a go-to for me when I need to refer clients for competent and ethical counseling. As a therapist myself, I have long admired Erin's dedication to the field of mental health whether through her book, her group practice which serves a diverse clientele, or her own compassion or understanding. I highly recommend her!

I started working with Erin to deal with the "stress" of starting a new job. I came to find out that what I had always considered to be stress was actually anxiety. From working with Erin, I learned more about myself and my strengths and weaknesses. I learned how to deal with the anxiety I face on a daily basis so that it does not get in the way of me being the best I can be. Erin made a lasting and positive difference in my life and I am grateful to her for helping me become a stronger person. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for any level of therapy (from minor checkups to full

Erin is the best mental health worker that I have ever consulted. I have suffered from depression, anxiety, and trauma for over a decade, and Erin has helped see me through tough times to be on a path to becoming a whole person again. If she weren't such a great therapist, I would have loved to have been her friend since she is warm and compassionate but pushes you to better yourself. I highly recommend seeing her if you need a therapist.
