Since 2004, yoga has been a source of joy and calm within the hustle of life in NYC. In her teaching, she hopes to share the passion and peace she feels on the mat and provide students with an environment in which they uncover new insight, vibrant presence, and strength.

Mang’Oh studio has been a much needed sanctuary to me in this big city since I started at the studio in May. Words can’t express how much the class atmosphere and beautiful instruction have meant to me and aided my well-being. I’d like to sincerely thank Mang’Oh yoga staff for being so welcoming and supportive. I highly recommend this studio to anyone seeking yoga in Midtown East.

I have attended virtual classes at Mang’Oh since the pandemic began and completed Mang’Oh’s online teacher training in the fall, and it was an incredibly positive, life-changing experience. Each of the teacher’s put their whole heart into the training, which made each of us students feel valued and inspired. I feel the same way with each class I take there!

I'm so pleased to have found a wonderful studio blocks from my sister's apartment while in town from California. Mang'Oh is a welcoming, calming space with lots of classes on the schedule each day. I'm a certified yoga teacher and can be a bit picky when I go to new studios, but I was impressed by the quality of the instruction I received in each class that I've taken, particularly Josh's! I'm glad that I'm in town a few more days to enjoy the new student special and will definitely return whenever I'm back in town/will be considering future retreats

Love it! The place is so pretty with a very relaxing ambiance. The instructors really help me with modifying my positions for my growing belly - I am a mama to be! Highly recommend everyone to try this lovely place out

One thing that I'd hope the place to improve is the higher lever class - would be extremely nice to have a more challenging class rather than easy poses that reflect level 1

I love this yoga place. It's a small nook in Murray Hill, and they offer rental mats for $2 (I think). It's a clean space, and the room is quiet and calming. Everything you need to use for yoga is in the yoga space, and everything is neat and clean. My teacher was really sweet and calm, and paid attention to everyone's form. I'm not someone who frequents yoga but I'm starting to and making it my mission to be more involved in yoga. I definitely got a workout out of it too (my muscles were sore after). I was able to take a class using my ClassPass credits. Will be coming back!

I recently moved to the Murray Hill area and found Mang'Oh as it was so close to my new place. They have a great introductory special for first-time visitors - $45 for unlimited classes in your first month!

I went to beginner classes (candlelight yoga) with two different teachers and enjoyed both! The teachers gave clear instructions and had calm, relaxing demeanors, making the classes feel very restorative. The one minus was that one of the classes was absolutely packed - there had to have been 30 people crammed into that little room. I feel like they should impose a limit on how many people

My yoga home! This yoga studio is a local gem in Manhattan Midtown East, and I am so grateful that it exists. The teachers are absolutely amazing. The trial membership lets us explore different types of classes as there are various styles and levels. I highly recommend! I walk out feeling much better about everything every time I come in for a class.

Love Mang'Oh! Such a calming environment with the nicest teachers and participants. The classes and unlimited passes are cheaper than most I've found and there's a good variety of class-types!

I love that teachers here give very clear instructions along with the name of the poses so it's really easy to follow. If you can concentrate and follow the instructions, you barely have to rely on the persons in front of you or next to you.

Because I attended all levels and sometimes I feel that the poses are the same either I'm doing level 1/2 or 2/3. It would be nice if the poses could reflex the difficulty. And I think more challenges need to be added to the higher levels. The people who come to a high level class should already expect and be prepared of what they're getting

Mang'Oh yoga studio quickly became my second home. The atmosphere is relaxing and warm. They recently newly decorated the studio so it almost feels like a little hidden heaven in the midst of chaotic Manhattan.
I love the fact that is on a great location in Midtown east but it's far away from all the traffic noise so you can really zone out and focus on your practice.
The variety of teachers is amazing and I think everyone can find someone who they can resonate with. Few of my favorite are Chintamani, Djuna, Sarah, Andrea L., Josh, Katherine and precious teacher Julie.

This studio is truly wonderful in many ways but I wanted to write specifically to highlight a recent meditation workshop I attended at the end of May led by Chintamani Kansas.

I am a beginner at meditation and this was a great introduction to meditation practice. In particular, Chintamani appreciates that meditation can be challenging and everyone needs to move at his or her own pace. For example, I have some difficulties with remaining still generally (let alone meditating) and Chintamani helped me to identify some movements I could incorporate into the practice that made the transition easier

Mang'oh is my peaceful oasis in nyc! It is the only yoga studio I have stuck to and still love more than ever since I joined 3 years ago. I try to go as often as possible. The instructors are all great, very knowledgeable and take the practice very seriously in an unpretentious yet grounded in the philosophy of yoga practice. I love that Erica the owner has a background in dance, so all of her classes are very fluid with an amazing playlist. The way we learn to have beauty and grace in our asanas teach us to incorporate that into our daily lives. So needed living in nyc!!

This studio is exactly what I was hoping to find. I'm a beginner, but only the level 2/3 Vinyasa classes fit my schedule. At those times, the small studio always has enough room, and the instructors are very friendly and open to my questions. I feel really comfortable here, and have made progress already. Very chill, nice clean space, well worth the price!
I have been to a couple beginners classes (8:30 PM) that are more crowded, but there was always room for everyone as far as I could tell.

The founder has created something special at mang'Oh. The studio offers a variety of yoga classes with opportunities to practice for everyone at all levels, combining creativity with attention to detail at high teaching standards. The next smile is never far away. In addition, mang'Oh offers a yoga teacher training program which feels like an investment for life.
Entrepreneurship shines at mang'Oh, the studio deserves more than the 5 stars I can give here.

The classes are not too crowded and the one I regularly attend is focused on breathing and alignment which is just what I need. I have had 3 different regular instructors over the years I've been attending and I've always felt well cared for, physically and emotionally, and it's a completely judgement-free zone even though I'm in an open class. The studio is clean and everything done electronically which is just perfect.

I’ve often referred to mang’Oh as “my happy place” when asked where I practice. The studio has recently updated its decor making it a beautiful and tranquil escape from the noisy midtown east streets. The class offerings are varied and staggered throughout the day and evening so I can take a gentle class if I’m in need of nurturing, or a vinyasa class when I’m looking for a challenge. There is a great mix of knowledgeable and encouraging teachers who incorporate music that syncs into the background without intruding the creative flow. I always leave feeling relaxed, challenged, and

I like the teacher at Mang'o, they are really good. The kidn of teachers that you just need to listen to follow the flow. I've gone to several yoga studios and enjoy the ones that know how to keep the Yogis focused on the breathing. I found out that some of the teachers are into something more spiritual and take their time to give a nice introduction, some go straight to workout mode, it's a good variety, after learning their names I picked my classes depending on my mood of the day and on what I wanted to achieve. The place is a tad too small, or maybe it is not but it is too popular

I did a drop-in candlelight yoga class last week while visiting NYC and it was just what I needed! The class was at capacity, but I didn't feel cramped. The instructor was fantastic, gave hands on adjustments and was very thorough in her explanation of asanas. I will definitely be back next time I visit NYC for business or pleasure!

Mang'Oh is the best! I was looking for a studio that's convenient to Grand Central, where I commute to/from the 'burbs. Fortunately I gave Mang'oh a shot about a year ago and have been coming regularly ever since.

It's a small, intimate studio that rarely feels crowded. Most teachers are fantastic, each with a different style, so I'd recommend attending several classes until you discover those that mesh well with your yoga needs. I am a huge fan of Justin's class, which completely changed the way I practice yoga. Other outstanding teachers include Djuna, Josh

I can't say enough about how special this place is.

A very small (one room) and intimate studio, Mang'Oh feels very homey. It's a quiet and serene space and they offer a variety of classes at different times. I particularly like that they offer 6am classes - early enough to get home and get ready and be at work before 9!

Most of the teachers here are fantastic - Sarah Girard, Josh M, Katherine W and Gloria Koo being the standouts. They offer classes ranging from restorative to vigorous Vinyasa flow classes. One of my favorites is the Happy Hour class at 5.45 if you can make it

Mang'oh Yoga Studio is a class above the rest. It's a haven for me and many of my friends who go there. It's like a breath of fresh air- an oasis in the middle of crazy NYC.

I fell in love with this place the moment I entered their doors 1.5 years ago. Everyone who works here, from the desk staff to the instructors, is very pleasant and helpful. Mang'Oh is a lot more than a yoga studio, it inspires you and awakens you. All yoga instructors here are very professional, highly knowledgable and excellent at what they do.

They offer multiple class times and a variety of yoga

I used a ClassPass to take the Candlelight Yoga on a Wednesday night. Super relaxing!!! You could have worked out earlier and then come here.

They have hooks for your bags and jackets but no lockers. Bring your own mat or rent one for $2. Small studio- located on 2nd floor with just one room. The room has about 2-3 windows but I could barely hear noise from outside so that's a plus.

I recommend laying your mat at the right or left corner because no one will be behind you and I just feel like you get a little more room. If you have to extend your arms it may be a little tight but that&apos

I just started coming to mang'Oh yoga as a ClassPass subscriber and can tell that this is definitely a spot I'll be using up by 3 limit max at. I have taken the Sunrise Express yoga class at 6 am a few times and really liked both instructors (Gloria on Monday, Josh on Thursday). The class is ideal for all levels, and the studio is open, inviting, clean, and bright. I particularly liked how hands on Gloria was with the Monday class. I've taken quite a few yoga classes over the past five years or so but am by no means an advanced participant, so I really appreciated her gentle and

Super nice staff (Josh = the nicest, he actually remembered my name after one class, and always helped me find my yoga mat because I would just leave my mat wherever while rushing out of my class to happy hours, of course). Super cozy studio (with all these scented candles/ incenses that make it smell super refreshing).

TL;DR: tiny studio, but the best I have been to in Manhattan- especially as a beginner. The instructors help you correct every pose so you can really feel the difference!

My sister and I came to check out this place since it was close to her office. The first class was good, so we decided to do their 2 week package for $38.
Staff: Very friendly and actually remembered us when we returned for the second class
Yoga instructors: Each instructor had their own style, where some where better than others. However, by better really just means that they fit my yoga style better. For instance, some instructors were moving quickly through the poses, whereas I like to take me time. Overall, each instructor challenged their students & incorporated the pose of the month

I discovered Mang'Oh through my Yoga Passbook and took two classes here. My first class was sunrise core yoga on a Saturday morning with Andrea, which was surprisingly crowded (guess people are just better at getting out of bed on weekends than I am...) I have pretty much no core strength, so this class was a workout for me. We used props that I've never used before in yoga, like foam rollers and this ring-shaped thing for doing core exercises. We also spent a good portion of the class focusing on Chaturanga Dandasana, which was surprisingly challenging!

I went back a few days later
