Sign your kiddos up to learn and explore yoga poses and breathing techniques, play games, sing songs, and end each class with relaxation. Through movement and creativity, students will learn to calm their minds and strengthen their bodies. In these fun and imaginative classes we will take yoga adventures, explore simple yoga poses and breathing techniques, play games, sing songs, and end each class with relaxation. Kathleen has been working with children and teaching kids yoga for over a decade. She has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education and worked as a classroom teacher for six years before becoming a certified kids yoga teacher. She started Yoga for Kids Portland in 2013 to share her passion for yoga with children.

My son takes Yoga for kids after school on Mondays and loves it! This is the one activity he asks to be signed up for again and again. My son is a wonderfully crazy 5 year - high energy, full of curiosity. He loves this class - his teacher makes it fun and interesting to keep his attention. He has been taking this for over 6 months and still is happy to go to this class! I am very pleased with this company that runs this class and the teacher. Thank you for the opportunity and please continue to offer it!

Kid’s yoga classes set an early standard for practice and self awareness. They learn to connect with their breath and tune into themselves, and they learn that by practicing a pose, their body can begin to react to it differently. Kathleen is a great teacher who is endlessly patient and supportive and who clearly loves teaching children. We are so happy that our 6 and 8 year old get weekly time with her.
