Murphy's has been serving the Pocono's for over 40 years, but our story goes on for almost a century. The original "Log Cabin" was constructed in 1934 from native spruce, harvested entirely from the surrounding woods. Known for many years as The Log Cabin, this rustic mountain lodge was a boarding house for hunters and other outdoorsmen.
During a typical deer hunting week, extra cots overflowed into the dining room. Long rows of cots were installed against the wall, while hearty Pennsylvania Dutch Style meals were served on tables lining the other wall. In 1946, the current Fern Ridge Motel was built using stones removed from the ski slopes at Big Boulder Park.

First time here. Tried on a Monday night and there was a 1.5 hour wait. Went again the next evening with a table of 6 and was seated right away. The set up was great! Felt like a cozy log cabin. We tried lots from the menu but for me the star was the roast beef. We had it with provolone and another order Au jous. It was tender juicy and sliced thin. I'll be back for more of that for sure.

Ate at the bar, our bartender was very friendly and attentive. She did not make weak drinks, for sure. Food came out very quickly. Had the New York Strip, mashed potatoes, and clam chowder. Very unimpressed with the food. The steak, while cooked well enough to my specification (med. rare), had absolutely no flavor. For $26, it was a subpar cut of steak. Sides were adequate. Also had some of their hot wings, and the were pretty good.

Stopped in here for a Saturday lunch. Sat at the bar. Service was excellent. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Beer was cold. Food was absolutely delicious, we had a Reuben and Fries. For the quality and amount of food you get the prices were good too! All around great experience at Murphy's Loft! If you are in the area definitely stop in here.

We were looking for breakfast and almost missed the breakfast sign! I'm glad we spotted it because even though we missed breakfast, lunch was good and so was the coffee! Even better, we were seated and served in record time by our waitress, who was very friendly. We will definitely be back when we're in the area. This place has a very laid back, welcoming vibe.

Was excited to check this place out. Looks super cute from the outside but once you enter your yelled at by the bartender "someone will seat you in a minute" no warm welcome here. Fifteen minutes later after asking to place an order....The salmon was dry & horrible, oily rice pilaf & a topper full of rolling eye attitude from bartender when asked to split a check. Maybe better service at a table, but def don't sit at the bar & expect any sort of Pocono good feels.

Found this place while in the area working. Ordered the lemon chicken that was wonderful. My friend ordered a large meal that basically consisted of an entire thanksgiving meal. He said it was the best meal we had found in the Poconos so far.
Not only was the food great, but the atmosphere was even better. The bartender was great to talk to, I got to try a few local shandy beers that were on tap, and walked away full.
I definitely wanted to stop by to try out more of the menu, but only did not have time to do so (otherwise I planned to just eat my way down the menu).

We had dinner here tonight and it was just OK, I got the prime rib and mashed potatoes and it was lukewarm and the mashed potatoes were lumpy, my salad had definitely seen better days. My wife's French onion soup was not cooked long enough as the onions felt raw but the cheesesteak egg rolls were pretty good. We were just in around July 4th and everything was delicious so I'm not sure what changed, if it was an off night or what. I really like Murphy's Loft so we will give them another chance and then I will come back and update my review.

Consistently my favorite local restaurant. The staff is really nice. Menu varies and they have daily specials. Love the outdoor seating by the pool and taking a dip in warm weather! The indoor seating is nice too, your choice of inside the log cabin or out in the glassed-in patio. This is an old school bar and grill where you are free to smoke and no one cares about hygiene theater like masks or distancing. Come step back in time and enjoy a good meal with friends and family.

My family and I have eaten at Murphy's Loft for over 20 years, visiting several times during the COVID pandemic. (NOTE, I raved about Murphy's Loft in 2019, but this review is about my recent experience.) While many friends have told us they had bad dining experiences at Murphy's Loft, we'd be first to say that we've never had a bad meal there. However last night was an overall terrible experience. My daughter and I were seated quickly and I ordered a cocktail (the waitress was impatient and left to get my drink before my daughter could decide what she wanted). After finishing

As great as ever! This was our first time back to Murphy's after a couple of years, and its just as good as we remember! The staff is amazingly friendly, and the service is excellent!! The food was good, too, and the selection is still offers something for everyone (even with covid). The prices are reasonable, too!

We have been to just about every restaurant within 10 miles of Blakeslee... we are huge go-our-to eat people when not at home. This was our first, but definitely not last, visit to Murphy's.
We sat in the enclosed patio area. Our server, Donna, was gracious and kind. She was on top of food and drinks. The kids had chicken tenders and fries. I had chicken Parmesan- very good. Hubby had queen cut prime rib- also very good. The French onion soup was honestly the best I have ever had...very flavorful!
Highly recommend !

So far so good, no complaints! We were sat quickly, drinks were brought out fast granted it is a Sunday at 12:55 PM but as I said so far so good The boneless chicken wings were delicious, the perfect amount of crispyness. Quality boneless chicken wings, that is all! The prices were a little up there for the food. I feel it was an average experience, nothing over the top that caught my attention!

We used to come here because the service and food were good...not any more. I tried to overlook a lot of flaws because of the current situation, but they weren't even busy while we were there. To start, the waitress spilled my drink and never cleaned it up, even asked multiple waitresses for napkins so I could only for them to ignore me. Then when the food came out after a long wait, it was cold and old. The bread for the sandwiches were stale and hard as a rock, fries were cold and limp, and salad was wilted and brown. To top it all off, I had to ask for another drink rather than be

This is one of those restaurants that has been here forever. I remember coming here as a kid with my family, and on a recent trip to the area, figured it was time to stop by and see if it had changed.
Best it can tell, the only thing that's really changed in the past 20 years is that you can actually breathe in there now - it's no longer polluted with cigarette smoke (though both when I entered and exited, there were a number of smokers standing right in front of the main entrance.
Although I guess they're going for the Irish pub vibe, I didn't see too much on the menu that

Second time here. The place was crowded on a Saturday night. It is an old log cabin type building and is a bit worn.
We were seated quickly and the waitresses name was the same as mine so we had a nice conversation!
My husband said the clam chowder and the turkey were both homemade and very good!
I had a 5oz filet sandwich with onions and mushrooms it was like butter! Not fond of the fries. Very hot but the frozen potato crusted kind.
Thanks Donna for a great meal!
