Our jewelry boxes, cribbage boxes and domino boxes have been created in the Pacific Northwest since 1981. Jewelry boxes and cribbage boxes are made with brass slot hinges or pin hinges that add a simple elegance to each piece. The brass insert hinges are also epoxied into the body of each box for added strength.

We always search for the most interesting woods that have high "figure" and color and then combine them in the woods of your choice. All boxes are available in combinations of different exotic or domestic woods or in one type. Our wood selection page has pictures and origins. Jewelry boxes are lined with black velour and then finished with a sprayed semi-gloss lacquer and a light coat of beeswax.
Services
The "J4" jewelry box is approximately 13 inches long, 5 inches tall, and 7 inches from front to back with one drawer. This is available in most of the woods pictured on the wood selection page. When ordering, please indicate if you would like your box with splines, (corner accents) or without. Our 3D (three drawer) boxes are approximately 13 inches long, 7 inches high and 7 inches front to back.
Cribbage originated nearly two hundred years ago in Great Britain and is still very popular in the United States and Canada. Our boxes come with instructions for two, three, and four player games. They also have extra pegs with each box. The "A" size holds two decks of playing cards and pegs. Pegs are aluminum and brass.

Never received custom ordered item for which I prepaid. When I inquired about it, I received a nasty email that insulted me saying I'm arrogant and expect them to be like Nordstrom's.
Because I ordered at an arts fair where they were a vendor, I contacted the organizers of the fair regarding their lack of integrity in honoring my purchase. They are now banned from being a vendor at the arts fair. They should be banned from being in business.

Im sure the product would have been nice if I had received it. When I inquired about not recieveing the product I was told to contact UPS and basically there was nothing that she could do. Everything was done on Duncan Woods End( so the lovely lady at Duncan woods said)! So not only am I out a Christmas gift but also out the money that I spent on it. Oh and when a customer does not recieve an item the shipping company needs to inquire to UPS. Aparently she was unaware of this. One last thing...hanging up on your customer who just bought something from you is never professional.....you would

Duncan's Woods has made its good quality jewelry boxes, cribbage boxes and domino boxes here in the Pacific Northwest since 1981. The owner has a tent (river side) at the Portland Saturday Market and I can't resist stopping by if I'm in town during that time. The prices are also very reasonable for such fine looking and tactilely pleasing wood boxes. Last Sunday I bought a nice small box made of Bubinga and Maple with a nice Turquoise inlay on top. And the brass pin hinges do add a simple elegance to the piece.

The owner also sells on ebay under dunc51 and offers a different selection
