Services
Discovery Counseling & Consulting is seeking full-time licensed clinicians (LPC, LCP, LCSW, LMFT) to join our thriving practice. We prefer candidates with a background in providing evidence-based practices to children, adolescents, and adults. Due to high demand, we are currently prioritizing candidates who specialize in treating any of the following: eating disorders, OCD, or gender dysphoria.
Your out-of-pocket expenses will vary depending on your insurance. When you come in for your first appointment our office staff will call and verify your benefits and inform you of your co-pay or co-insurance costs. Many of our clients prefer to self-pay for their sessions. One of the biggest benefits to self-pay services is that your services do not get billed to an insurance company.
The clinicians at Discovery Counseling & Consulting know that the reasons for seeking therapy services vary from person to person. We offer a wide array of therapeutic interventions to meet the individual and unique goals of each person. We provide a warm and non-judgmental environment that cultivates a feeling of safety and trust.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) was developed by Marsha Linehan, PhD and is an evidence-based treatment designed specifically for individuals with struggles such as intense and dysregulated emotions, self-harm behaviors, suicidal thoughts and/or suicide attempts, impulsivity, chaotic interpersonal relationships, and struggles with sense of self.
Do you feel anxious, nervous or worried much of the time? Do you struggle with making decisions or completing your daily routines? Do you often find yourself ruminating or worrying to the point that it is interfering with your life? If so, you may be struggling with an anxiety disorder. There are many different types of anxiety disorders, from social anxiety, to phobias, to generalized anxiety disorder to obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Great therapists! If you can avoid the owner, Tom, and the front desk, you’ll be set.
The owner will interrupt you in every sentence you try to get out, then accuse you of not allowing him to speak. You also aren’t allowed to use language that isn’t approved by him. I would avoid bringing a concern to him at all costs.

I highly recommend this group for anyone in need of assistance with regulating their emotions and improving interpersonal relations. Jenn McCauley has helped so many clients and their families experience growth, connection, and optimal life functioning. Professionally, she has been quickly responsive to my requests to consult on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and I value her as an expert resource.

Had some issues with the billing department, but the owner was quick to contact me and provide a mutually beneficial resolution. I feel that overall, my visits were very beneficial but eventually things became a bit stagnant. However, we all have bad days and I do not blame this company for that at all. I am very pleased at the ultimate resolution and willingness of the owner to work with me in making me happy- she seemed to care very much about her business and patients. Highly recommended +++
