In the early 1980's I worked with several good contractors in Orange County, NC, and learned the carpentry and painting trades. I soon started my own business as a contractor for small repair and remodeling projects.
James R. Tippens is no longer certified as a Radon Measurement Provider by the National Environmental Health Association, National Radon Proficiency Program. But he has not forgotten his training. Radon is a radioactive cancer-causing gas that is produced by the natural breakdown of Uranium in rocks and soil.

I highly recommend Jamey Tippens for home inspection services. I was preparing an older Carrboro home for market recently and appreciated his thorough, professional care in documenting and explaining the observations he made. I have owned several properties in my lifetime and I had owned this particular home for about 20 years. Even so, I learned a lot of specific details that were useful to me. I would hire Tippens again without thinking twice.
