Honestly, not sure why they only have 2 stars. My husband and I were first time renters, and they took us in. We paid $700 a month for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. It was clean, NO bugs, no issues at all. Whenever we had a maintenance issue, they fixed it within the hour. I hope to rent from them again.

This company has not only been unhelpful, but also straight up rude.
While I was trying to apply and schedule a showing for an apartment. ANGELICA wouldn't answer any of my questions, phone calls, or emails. After she finally picked up, I realized that this company is not who I want to give money, she was unnecessarily mean.
All of my other interactions with grand junction realty groups went well and we found a place days after under a different company.
Dont waste money here.

Called to ask about the restrictions on a rental they had listed that says it accepts dogs. The woman on the phone was unbelievably and inappropriately RUDE, and repeated herself like a broken record saying the place doesn't accept pets. I tried telling her the description says it does so they might want to update that, but she clearly didn't and wouldn't hear me. Instantly lost our family's business no matter what properties they are renting out.

"Maxim 4000 Property Management looks for EACH applicant to have a gross income of three times the monthly rent or more to qualify. Do you each have a gross income of $1875+, or would you be able to provide a cosigner who does have that income?"
The rent was less than 700 a month and they expect a couple to make 45,000 a year. For what amounts to a hole in the wall. Then they sent me back a lovely piece of garbage

Disrespectful, heartless and greedy, I would not recommend this business to anyone. On top of the rude and unfriendly folks behind the counter, I was charged $50 late fee because their payment site doesn’t work. I had to wait 60 days to get my deposit back do they could keep my money as long as possible. Then they deducted $77.32 for rekeying locks. Shouldn’t that be Their expense of doing business? Having been a real estate agent in another state and relocating to the area, I was expecting a lot more customer service and fair business practices.

My wife and I rented at the Peppermill Lofts for almost 3 years. Throughout our time renting, I don't believe Maxim 4000 ever answered the phone once, and on the occasions that they did return a voicemail or initiate a call to us, they were almost always extremely rude and unprofessional.
Upon moving out, $100 was deducted from our deposit for carpet cleaning and another $63 for re-keying (both of which are noted in the lease that they will be deducted from your deposit, although re-keying should absolutely not be on the tenant to pay). They also took an additional $45 for "cleaning" a spotless

Maxim 4000 managed a rental property for me for 6 years before I decided to take on the management myself. A few challenges managing this property during that time frame came up and Maxim 4000 came through for me. My experience with them has been very positive. I appreciate Dax's prompt replies and communications with me. I would recommend Maxim 4000.

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. We have had a great experience with Maxim4000, from viewing the property, to them communicating with us on the status of our application, the lease signing, walk-through, everything and everyone were AMAZING!!! Anjelica, in the front office is professional, personable and eager to help. Dax, the leasing agent was also great! The gentleman that showed us the property had no issue with us taking too long looking around and asking a thousand questions. Overall, a great company and easy to work with!

Probably the least accommodating and most unpleasant business I have ever tried to work with. I ignored several red flags before even going in to their office to submit an application, at which point I the attitude of the employees convinced me I shouldn't have ignored the previous warnings and saved myself a bunch of hassle.
