Second time we’ve stayed there - rustic Inn, which rambles over a full block with a wide variety of rooms. Ours was incredible - huge with lots of closets, an ocean view (sort of), and big comfortable bed. They closed down their breakfast area due to COVID - would have been nice if they had coffee in the lobby since the little coffee makers in the rooms are awful. But overall, a really nice place to stay on the main drag - close to all the shops and restaurants, and just up the hill from the beach.

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway without the noise of kids and dogs this is the place. Normandy Inn is so full of charm and character. It is such a great Inn. Close to the beach, eateries, shops. The linens, bed, toiletries are excellent. The employees are also very cordial and helpful. It is a real pleasure to enjoy the immaculate grounds and flowers. Our favorite place to stay in Carmel.

Very nice stay at Normandy Inn
We booked for our anniversary Sunday thru Tuesday with a very nice king room. Bath was extremely nice, newly remodeled, clean and large.
Room was comfy, nice view and large also. The location was maybe a ¼ mile from the beach and less than that to all the necessities, dining, bakery, coffee and shopping!
We will be back!

A must stay! From the moment we checked in with the staff who was so nice, to the convenient room, the beautiful pool and landscaping and perfect location which was maybe 3 blocks from the beach and the gate for the 17 mile drive and a half block from the shops and restaurants, we couldn't have been more pleased. Definitely stay here

The walls are paper thin. We can hear every word and footstep from people in the adjacent rooms. For the price of this place, you’d think they could afford some insulation. Plus, there’s no dedicated parking lot, so good luck getting parking close by on a weekend. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

We are staying 4 nights. First if all, Great location. Comfortable king bed and nice bathroom, however very thin walls and cleaning staff is heard talking loudly and singing which comes right through the walls. They are resurfacing the pool directly behind our room so that added way too much noise which started early and has gone on all day, so a nap after our long hike is out of the question. We should have been told about the noise....would have stayed elsewhere. Also no coffee or breakfast items available. And no cleaning service unless you are staying for more than 3 days. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. They have parking on site, though it's limited to less than 15 spots. We stayed in a one bedroom queen but they also have little cottages that looked super cute. The best thing about this place was it's location though. You are right on the edge of all the shops and eateries in Carmel.
