Great customer service for weary travelers who were stranded by a rock slide blocking their drive to their next destination on PCH. Room (king suite) was spacious and easily fit a cot for our second child. The fireplace was lovey and easy to operate. The bathroom was also spacious. The decor is a little dated and our king bed was very soft (not our preference) and slanted slightly (but noticeably) up to the foot of the bed. Restaurant requires reservations and the cook time for pizza was quite long even for take out so we ate elsewhere. Overall a very nice stay.

We have stayed in several times in the past. Check in was quick. Restaurant on-site and staff are great. They just need to seal up around the room doors. Draft makes room cold.

The room is really nice, but we wanted a hotel with a hot tub for my daughter. There is no hot tub for any kids here.
I sorted the hotels by those with hot tubs and just find it misleading that it comes up when searching with kids.
The hot tub also costs 20$ per person, so it’s not included with the stay at the hotel.
I think the search critter is should be changed for this place or they should make it clear on their website.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Parking can is extra $17 per night so add that to your expenses for staying. Parking is also fairly tight. Tile floors in room is chilly in the colder months so slippers are advised. No breakfast here but many restaurants nearby with a short walk. Excellent central location for old Monterey.

The hotel is basic but You got everything you need abs the staffs are pleasant and welcoming. The phone booking process was easy with Diane and John was very helpful. Will come back if we are able to find the room that actually has the garden/pool view.

Henna went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. It had been a rough day at work and I wasn't in the best mood when I checked in. Henna changed all that with her superb customer service. Thanks again Henna you're the best!

Lovely place :) lots of things right around the corner from this location. Lots of parking available, however it is a $17 charge to park your vehicle on the property. The rooms are well kept and clean. There are shutters on the windows that open to let in the morning air and the television is equipped with cable. Super easy place to unwind. Came here for my hubby's bday- perfect little spot to stay. Pet friendly and the hostess was kind when checking me in. Bathrooms are clean spacious, up to code and they offer privacy! The walls are thick enough to afford privacy both in the room and the

Had to book a last minute trip to Monterey bc my fiancé and I were shopping around for wedding venues and found this gem of a hotel!

from the moment we walked in the lobby we felt right at home. pictures online don't do it justice. I expected something completely different but this place is just downright adorable.

we found a really good rate on Priceline and booked the traditional king room. Bed is extremely comfortable! the rooms were decorated very well and very clean. It's also pet friendly! This was the main reason I landed on their page as there are many places in Monterey

Staff was super friendly!! The rooms were cute but on the smaller side. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. I didn’t visit the spa so I can’t comment on that. Our only real issue was parking….we brought our truck and the parking stalls were pretty narrow. Also, we went out to dinner and came back around 8pm…all the parking stalls were full!! There were 1-2 stalls open but our truck could not fit into those stalls so we had to drive around a few times until someone left. My husband was not happy about this. We finally found parking but it was a good walk from our room. So leave your

If looking for a view, this may not be the place, but for our purpose of getting a dog-friendly hotel, it was perfect. Price was also good. And we were located near the patch of grass for dogs on the first floor which was great. The hotel is also located near a lot of good restaurants (and TJ) and there is parking (for 17 a night).
When we return, we'll definitely check back at this place to see if there's availability.

Only stayed one nite so not sure if that's enough to give it a full assessment but the time I was there was very enjoyable. The location was nice, walkable to things around town although away from the craziness of harbor which I enjoyed (although a short walk to it all). The room was very nice, bedding was top notch and so were the toiletries. The pool was a wonderful perk but is not as large as it appeared to me from photos. We were looking to eat at the on-site restaurant although they did not have any seating available when we checked in. I did try to go to the happy hour they promoted

The room was ok. The deep soak tub was amazing! The best part for me was the staff. They made us feel welcomed and at home. Matt Hampton was our favorite person there! Thank you Matt for being the awesome human you are! Anna the bartender was amazing as well! She works her butt off. I would highly recommend staying. Thanks to all the great kind staff! We are grateful we chose here for our weekend away! Can’t wait to see you guys again!

Second time staying here for a special birthday/anniversary celebration. Great, relaxing, quiet stay. Excellent accommodations, comfortable bed, clean room. Paying for parking was a little outrageous at $17/night. Loved dinner at Esteban, service was incredible.

This was exactly the kind of hotel I was looking for, something better than a motel but not too fancy. The staff was extremely friendly. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Walls are thin and cars are parked right outside the rooms so horns and doors are loud. Hotel was a 2 mile walk to Cannery row and has plenty of food options closer around the hotel. Trolley was also close by and a free transportation option. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again as well.

Check in was easy, fast, and friendly. Our stay was 1 night in July 2021, so I didn't get to use their facilities. The room was big enough and clean. It had a safe, small empty fridge, and hangers. There are 2 water bottles in the room; they are $2.50 for Arrowhead (BOO! for water choice and price). The property was nice and well kept. It's a 14 min walk to Fisherman's Wharf so it's a good location. I would definitely stay here again.

Found this place on Hotwire and the rate was great! I decided to lower my standards and expect a motel experience. Wrong again!
The staff at check in were extremely friendly and the lobby was cute and clean! I didn't get to go to the restaurant in the premises but it looked nice also!
The room was very spacious and everything was very clean. It left no trepidation's about anything! Which is what you need for a decent night's sleep. The bed was nice but not great. Room temp was very pleasant which also helped us sleep well.
Overall, we will definitely be back as they&apos

We stayed in a downstairs room. Pros: I really like the pillows. They are super soft and comfortable to me. They are a thicker feather pillow. The bed is a decent firmness. I generally like a softer bed. It didn't feel super soft, but not super firm either. It might be considered slightly more soft than form though. Cons:
The room size was smaller than expected, but it really had all we needed.
The bathroom was nice, somewhat clean (with the exception of the floor and shower having some spots that weren't tended to), and mostly comfortable. The only thing that seemed out of place to me

We stayed two nights and by the end of Day 1, we knew we had made the right choice. Much better than staying either Downtown or Cannery Row. Tucked away in a quiet corner, it is pet friendly, decent sized rooms and there is a Denny's, Wild Plum bakery and. Thai restaurant right across. For kids, there is a heated pool (but this is Monterey why pool when there is the beach and more beach..).

Note: you have to pay to park in the complex. 17$, I think. They give you towels and stuff like toothpaste, if you forgot to bring yours.

There is a nice restaurant, Cafe Esteban with indoor and outdoor

This hotel was a great surprise (for the price point)- the room was so clean and spacious. I love the stand alone shower (most hotels don't have that option), mini fridge, and large desk area.

Its dog friendly which is a huge plus for me whenever I'm traveling and walking distance to the town.

I plan on taking another trip up the coast to stay here again soon.

Came across this hotel when searching for pet friendly hotels and boy are they pet friendly!

Everything about this place is great!!!

They cater to your pets and are super friendly! Upon checking in the lady at the counter was wonderful and super helpful with suggestions on places to see.

She made sure we had a great room. We did have to wait past 4 for it to be ready but it was worth it.

Had a few problems, air didnt work but they fixed it right away then the fire alarm went off when we used the blow dryer but after about 5 min it turned off. Spooked our dog a little.

Alright alright alright, this is like a game of spin the bottle. Line up all of the places I'm (you're) supposed to go and watch that bottle spin right on past each and every one of them (London out, Edinburgh out, Banff out, Egpyt out, Montana - cancel my flight a month out, try to be out - watch me get there anyways).
