As a new client of our animal hospital in South Berwick, you can expect our full attention to your pets' needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
The person who answered the phone was very responsive. Checked with the Dr. and called me back within the hour with information and a prescription ready to be picked up. Followed up next day with call re: test results. We have been using the Salmon Falls Animal Hospital for about 18 years. Before that we traveled and used many other vets.

Critical: Value
Please do not go there! They charge you for every little thing and still seem to do nothing. Our dog broke his nail off and somehow cost us $182. Yet they didn’t remove the rest of the nail that was “hanging” on. Gave him a “comprehensive exam” lol! for $58. We will never bring our animals back to this place they are frauds.

Not good service. Veterinarian had to be told by tecnition what do do. Veterinarian had to be told animal was up to date on shots. If tecnition had not been there. Animals would have gotten un necessary shots. Also had to get urine sample for them. That is what I pay them for. Like really. Will not go back there.

I have recently moved to the area from the south and had no clue how bad the tick concentration is in the area (worse than Alabama!), I found some on my pup and was worried. Salmon Falls was amply accommodating toward my schedule and maintained safe practices for covid. After finding out my hound needed medication and treatment I thought the bill would be stout but I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was a mere fraction of what I was expecting. The vet and associated techs and staff were more than informative of course of treatment and other plans to keep my old pooch happy and healthy. Highly

I am told that Dr. Linnell works there on Tuesdays now.
If she does work there please clarify. I can't understand how any veterinary practice can accept a vet who took pain medicine out of the mouths of terminally ill and suffering animals. At the time she owned the practice, she billed insurance companies for medication not actually dispensed to my pet. Had I known she was going to start again I would have filed an AG complaint. Of course, the diversion of narcotics from my dying pet to her as detailed in my original evaluation was far worse, but perhaps there is high staff turnover because

The visit was nice. But I wish they would have disclosed that they'd be charging me a fee for them to dispose of the needle they used for her shot where they never used to charge for that. And $50 to just look at the spot on her shoulder?? That's ridiculous. They didn't need a full body exam for her this vet visit.

I will be asking for a internal review of this place. Something is going on. I have never seen so much staff come and go. I mean the actual vets. My 10 year old golden has been going there since a pup. New owners took over few years back. Place went to hell. Just this year lost 3 vets and Lord knows how many others. The Dr missed feeling a tumor during a exam 2 days ago. She was healthy fine and happy when I brought her for her shots. Next morning about dead. Brought her to animal hospital where they could clearly feel her mass which overnight blocked her bladder. She had a xray on Feb. 15th

You can see all details by visiting http://pebowpages.com/ but the gist is:
My trust was regained after deciding not to take my new puppy Calleigh to Dr Linell and I brought her in for Dr Linnell to do the heartworm treatment. Calleigh went in on March 30th for day one of 2 treatments.
I was called to pick her up that afternoon. She was to spend the night at home and return in the morning.
Calleigh didn't make it. She died on my kitchen floor with me in hysterics. I knew there was risk to heartworm treatment but was told she's healthy and young (16 months) and will be okay. I found

I will never go back to Salmon Falls Animal Hospital and I won't refer anyone I know there. After taking my cat there who was very sick and spending hundreds of dollars, they didn't even have the common decency to call and see how he was doing...not once did they ask. When I asked them to take me off the mailing list because he had passed the girl said very nonchalantly "Oh that's too bad...wasn't that the black and white cat?" I feel that all that matters to them is money...not the animal and not the person that loves and cares for their animals. Dr. Linnel was cold
