Dave Bell started the business in 1990. Two of Dave's five sons, Miles and Joey, joined the business in 2011 continuing their fathers legacy as the best equipped shop in the state of Utah. Miles is running the service side of the business, and Joey is the Head Engine Machinist and builder.

Cleaning engine parts is one of the most basic procedures that a machine shop will do, yet it is also one of the most important parts of the engine repair procedure. Before you can really inspect the parts for your engine to determine what will need to be done to them, they have to be cleaned. If the parts aren't clean, it's hard to measure them and inspect them for defects etc.

These guys were very professional. They took care of my Mercedes sprinter vans. The Mercedes dealer couldn’t get to my repairs for like 6 to 7 months and I depend on these vans to run my business. They got me in within the week and were very prompt and professional. Will definitely be back!

I have a 2002 Sprinter van, its diesel engine is a bit unique, however the team at Dave's has extensive experience with these rigs. There were about 4 other sprinters in the parking lot when I dropped mine off- a good sign. they were quick, responsive and cheaper than other less specialized mechanics I've used in the past. well cheaper than the Warner truck center or Mercedes dealership, but I think they do as good of work. I will continue to take my van to these guys for the rest of it's life!

My truck, which has always started effortlessly, wouldn't start all of a sudden. In depth diagnostics suggested possible leaks in the oil pressure system. DAC torn into my truck's engine and found the leaks. Truck starts right up now just like it always has for the last ten plus years. Repair was expensive but my truck is up and running great now.

Dave's has been amazing. I needed to find a repair shop in town that could take a look at an older model diesel Sprinter van I'd purchased recently. There were a host of issues that were patchworked together by the previous owner. Their team provided detailed breakdowns of everything they found with pics and video clips included. Full transparency. Throughout the process they were available to talk through the details, and always patient with me on long phone calls. Will definitely be coming back!

I really enjoyed working with Dave's. I feel so often that I get the run-around from auto repair businesses, but at Dave's they kept me informed about every step of the process of figuring out why the check engine light was on in my 2012 Sprinter. And they didn't give up until the issue was resolved. I am grateful for that as I often travel long distances alone in this vehicle and I appreciate feeling that I won't get stuck with engine trouble. Dave's is one of the few auto repair businesses in which I have complete confidence and trust.

I had Dave's Auto Center work on my 2011 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI. I had a manifold stud snap flush with my cylinder head and tried to remove it myself with no luck. Had the truck dropped off and they proceeded to accomplish what I was not able to. They milled it out and we’re even able to maintain my original thread sizing. They even resurfaced my head. Afterwards I had them install a new set of headers and adjust the steering to make sure everything was in sync.
These guys did an amazing job and I highly recommend them for any work you need whether it's daily driver to race motors!
