We've come a long way from that garage in 1973, and even though we've held four different locations since, they've all been within less than 2 miles of each other. This is truly our Austin neighborhood. Today, we still call the same building we renovated in 2002 on Anderson Lane home. I ordered a Christmas arrangement for my sister. I spent quite a bit of time with a very helpful employee going over the size of arrangement, flowers and color of flowers to be in arrangement and ones definitely not to be included. My sister loved the centerpiece and sent me a picture of a lovely arrangement, but not what I requested. I called Freytag's and spoke to Kristy. She apologized for the error and offered 3 very good and generous options for me to choose to rectify the problem. My husband sent an exact photo of what flowers he wanted to order for our 15 year anniversary (a pretty big deal). This is what showed up. Cabbage heads as the main centerpiece. Orchids is what was… requested (and shown via a picture). Yes, they offered to refund…but it literally ruined the whole point of anniversary flowers. A refund doesn’t fix the fact that you messed it up this bad. What a joke. $470 for cabbage heads.

Ordered an arrangement via their website at 10am, and it delivered locally in Austin by 330pm. The entire process was seamless, they sent me email updates on processing and when it delivered.
The bouquet was beautiful, and I loved using an actual local business, as opposed to a flowers.com that delivers via FedEx.

I went to Freytag's this morning to purchase flowers or a plant for a coworker who's going through a difficult time. Unfortunately I encountered crappy customer service, not only by the counter attendant but the Manager as well. I was trying to use my Allstate reward points for a coupon/discount and after selecting my item and asking whether the coupon applied to it, I got a response of I don't know I've never seen that before. I go on to explain what it is and that it's not through some obscure car insurance company. She continues to be dismissive and unhelpful with saying

I’ve gotten two flower arrangements from Freytag and BOTH are unbelievably gorgeous and well detailed! My birthday flowers from Sept. 14th are still alive and looking beautiful. So I decided to buy myself… another arrangement for the fall and once again, breathtaking!! Never been into flower arrangements before but now can’t wait to continue buying Freytag flowers!!

This is a consistently great florist whom I have used for years. Their arrangements are as described and their delivery is dependable. Friendly service both at delivery (my recipient was thrilled by the kindness and care of the delivery person) and on the phone. I live in Dallas and have loved ones in Austin. I reached out to Freytag's about doing the florals for my small wedding. We asked for a hand-tied bouquet, a boutonniere, a flower crown, and some petals for our flower girls. I didn't have any particular flower types or colors in mind - my only request was that I wanted lots of different colors - so we agreed on a price point and I gave the designers free reign to come up with something based on what was in stock.

Found Freytag online while searching for a local Austin florist...based on their impeccable reviews and professional website, I decided to place an online order for a surprise "Just Because" next day delivery.… They responded the next morning that my order was being processed. This is the $100 Mother's Day bouquet I received. One half-opened flower is the best they could do. And it didn't get much better. Maybe half the flowers eventually bloomed - the rest fell off unopened. It's sad. **EDITED REVIEW** Added one star because they reached out and explained that they never saw an email from my husband. And they expected all the flowers to open. I appreciate that they tried to make it right.

Unfortunately, this review is not a good one. Last week on Friday I placed a Valentines Day order with Freytag. In order to get what I wanted, the app that they use, wanted me to set the order for delivery on the 11th. That would be three full days before Valentines Day. I was ok with that.
I received an email from the third party, today the 11th, that Freytag stating they apologize but they wouldn't be able to deliver flowers till the 15th, the day after Valentines. They said it was a glitch in their system. They said they would give me a 20% discount. This is unacceptable!

Freytag's is hands down THE place for flower arrangements and delivery in Austin! I have been using them through my office for all of our corporate needs, and work with them weekly. They are the the most efficient, kindest, and detail-oriented group I have ever had the pleasure of working with! They can accommodate same day requests, unforeseen changes, and even reschedules with ease. I have worked them to make very specific arrangements, and probably gave them far less to work with than I should have, but each time the arrangements came out SO far above and beyond what I could have imagined

6/16 Update: Even though I was mostly satisfied with my order, Freytag's did reach out after seeing my review to help make things right regarding my last order. It is clear they are committed to customer satisfaction and I will certainly be paying them another visit in the future!
Original Review: Picked up a beautiful arrangement from here curbside a couple weeks ago. I asked for a $75 designers choice with the only request to include tulips. Ended up with a gorgeous surprise arrangement!
