Services
We offer laboratory services in house and through a referral laboratory. Our bloodwork machines will analyze your pet's complete blood count, checking for red and white blood cell counts, and platelet counts. Our chemistry panel will check all of your pet's organ functions, electrolytes, and blood sugar.
Toccoa vet hospital offers extraordinary care for your animals while you are away, whether it be a long vacation or just over the weekend. All animals are provided with comfy blankets and are fed Royal Canin GI Low Fat twice a day (cans not provided). Dogs are walked three times a day for at least 10 minutes on each walk.
At Toccoa Veterinary Hospital we believe in the addition of alternative treatments to help your pet maintain the highest level of health possible. Whether your animal companion is an athlete or a geriatric animal that is starting to slow down, chiropractic can help them! The nerves which surround each joint and vertebral articulation are in constant communication with the central nervous system, brain and all organs.
Heartworms can only be passed by mosquitos but if a mosquito bites one dog and then bites another dog, both dogs can become infected. Heartworm disease can only be passed on by mosquitos and it is a specific parasite that only affects dogs, cats, ferrets and other mammals. Have animals tested every year for heartworms and give them heartworm prevention every month to keep them happy, healthy and heartworm free.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.

This is the best place to care for your fur babies! The place never smells bad and they take care of your pet just like you would your child. Dr. Owen checks your pet out from head to tail! She actually comes into the exam room, and that is something that you don’t always see with some vets with my experience. If you truly love your fur babies like I do, it is in my experience to keep them up to date on shots and exams. If you don’t want to spend money on your fur baby, then don’t get one because just like us they deserve to live healthy and happy also! You will not be disappointed! I’m

My dog had ear infection and I went to the vet . They cleaned ears, took blood,Stool sampled said come back in 2 weeks. They cleaned ears again told me tests were back and my dog was perfectly healthy, no problems. 2 weeks later had to take my dog back ears still infected. They cleaned ears again and wanted to see my dog in 2 weeks... by this time I had already paid almost $1,000. !!! I asked for them to give me antibiotics that I could give my dog at home to heal it's ears. They refused antibiotics and wanted my dog to continue suffering from ear infections and keep bringing my dog back for ear

Toccoa Veterinary Hosptial is the place to go. You are NEVER simply a customer in need of services, you become family and you and your fur child are treated as such no matter what. They go above and beyond a job title, and their personalities and their hospitality is the most present and consistent throughout your entire journey at Toccoa Veterinary Hospital. They are the absolute best. Dr. Owens is the kindest, and most sincere Vet we have ever met, among many other things that I could go on and on about. She not only treats your fur child but also loves them herself, and it shows. That is all

Friendly staff and knowledgeable vet.
The chiropractic adjustments have been helping my dog.
4 stars because we often have to wait to be seen for an appointment (this could be for legitimate reasons, but it's now happened 3 times) and because when we first tried to contact them we left phone messages and an email, but got no reply. Since then, though, we have not had any more problems with communications.

Dr. Owen and her staff are amazing. I have a service dog, so his health is as important, if not more than, my health. Luckily, we’ve had only a couple visits that were not wellness exams. But lately, we’ve added chiropractic care and Dr. Owen is very professional and explains everything as she does it.

We have taken my dog to numerous vets across Northeast Georgia and everyone is scared of him because of his size or breed. Dr. Owens and her staff kept him while I went on vacation. She done a wonderful job and it worth the drive. Thanks Dr. Owens and Emily for the great job y'all do abd for being a nice clean caring vet.
