Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Duarte attended The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. After 13 years in office, Dr. Duarte still loves being able to come to a practice that doesn't feel like work, a practice where staff and patients help create a family environment with trust and compassion.
With 25 years in the dental field, Jennifer truly is an expert at what she does. From addressing dental concerns and treatments to planning financial steps, Jennifer works hard to ensure your visit to our office is an efficient and simple one. I was with Dr. Bloom for longer than I can remember. When he retired, I knew he would find a top notch dentist to fill his shoes, and he did! Dr. Duarte is extremely capable and thorough. She really listens and cares about you as a patient. She is technically very skillful and competent. The whole office is friendly and helpful. I have been coming to Michelle for years and she is an amazing hygenist.

Very helpful staff and the dentist is great. They set up an amazing dental plan for me. I have bern going thru dental procedures since i was 16 and can say Dr. Duarte really wants the best for your teeth and will recommend what she thinks will be best for you. I had to postpone treatments for insurance and finances to be available and they were patient with me and understanding.

I used to come to this same office when it was Dr. Bloom and continued to come with Dr. Monica. She is so sweet and kind and does an excellent job. Everyone that works at her office have only been kind and friendly to me. I love coming here and actually schedule my cleanings every 3 months because Michelle is so wonderful!! I'm one of those weird people that love to have my teeth cleaned so I always leave here happy! :D

I have had multiple dental procedures to get my smile back to normal. When going here they have helped me out a lot and got me the help I needed to feel excited to smile again. I figured this is as good as my smile will get with other dds. But here they gave me all my options and recommended what they thought would be best for me. It was my decision on what I wanted/could afford. They worked with me and the dentist was always very concerned that I would love my smile again. I have not had any issues going here. Everyone is very pleasant and make me feel very comfortable. I have recommended others

As another reviewer stated, this office is ok minus one very abrasive and abusive employee. Unfortunately, she works the front reception area, confirming appointments and greeting patients. The first time I visited, she literally was telling the dentist what work needed to done in my case. It made the dentist seem incompetent. Secondly, I did not appreciate her broadcasting my case in front of other patients sitting in the waiting room. Fast forward to third visit. Dr Duarte and most of her staff are wonderful, however they do have a member of staff who is nothing short of abusive and a bully... During the awful weather last winter I was without power/phone and washed out roads, subsequently the level of abuse i encountered because I did not contact them to cancel my appointment was unprecedented... More recently i was faced with major surgery and treatment that rendered me unable to drive for a few months and I had to cancel two check up appointments for myself and my son. Once again I was met with the most awful barrage of abuse from this woman..

Dentist is great!! However the woman who administers this practice is a bully! I missed two appointments (which i cancelled by phone) due to a severe and very unfortunate family crisis and received an email to say we were dismissed from the practice!! 🤣
Life happens!! She behaved the same way earlier in the year when we were cut off due to extreme weather... Don’t use this place unless you are prepared to be 100% committed to putting your dental treatment above all else in your life including death and severe injury!!

Dr. Monica Duarte is an excellent dentist and I have only had wonderful experiences in her care. She is listens to my concerns and spends the time to get all the history and details before making a diagnosis. She is up to date on dental technology and keeps up with the latest in dentistry. I found it helpful when she showed me my cavity with her dental camera and explained everything throughout the process. The BEST part was that after many dental procedures in the past with other dentist, I was amazed at how gentle Dr. Duarte was for anesthesia. It was the most painless injection I ever had. I

Dr. Monica and her staff are excellent. I started going to this office about 25 years ago when it was Dr. Bloom's practice. Dr. Duarte took over the practice a few years ago. I'm glad Michelle, the hygienist, stayed with the office! She's excellent, too. Dr. Duarte is very competent and caring dentist. She's very helpful to my wife, son, and me. She has always gone the extra mile for us when we needed it. Because of her and Michelle, I look forward to going to the dentist!

This is in response to a review by Monica D (which typically should be written as a yelp response, not review) in response to my review. I agree with everything that Monica D said in her review (except one response took a month which prompted me to get a second opinion). She was professional, and it was definitely her goal to provide caring and knowledgeable dentistry. Unfortunately, the facts are still facts; mistakes were made that became more alarming as they accumulated.
