Dr. Renny Shoop is a 1973 graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine. Since then he has practiced in both the eastern and western parts of PA. While Dr. Shoop sees small animals too; he has done extensive work with cattle and horses and has a special interest in large animal reproduction.
While we still require you to pay your medical bill directly to Poco West Veterinary Clinic, we are happy to help with any of the necessary paperwork that will streamline the reimbursement process from your insurance provider. We offer discounts to all Pet Assure members, Senior citizens, and Military with proper ID.
We focus on preventive veterinary care to promote and improve overall pet health. Routine check-ups allow us to diagnose, treat and protect your pet from contracting serious, costly and sometimes fatal diseases. Our well-equipped laboratory enables us to perform testing quickly and accurately, and provides you with timely results for your pet.
From spay and neuter services to more complex veterinary surgical procedures, we always operate with safety in mind. In fact, we use many of the same safety measures as human hospitals. Performing most of the pre-surgery blood work at our in-house lab, we are able to make sure your pet is healthy enough for the procedure.
Our Clinic provides general farm animal care such as lameness exams, fertility/pregnancy exams, castration, hoof trims and dehorns, as well as seeing sick animals needing medical or surgical care. Our doctors have experience with standard livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats, and production swine, as well as non-traditional farm animals such as potbellied/mini-pigs, llamas, alpacas, and exotic hoofstock.
