Maybe they are decent for a simple blow out. However, I wanted a specific hair style, and I was not impressed with the result. They had 4 different stylists working on me because the one they originally assigned had no idea how to do the style. Although I admit the customer service was good and they were very courteous, I did not find their stylists very skilled at actually styling. If you want a simple blow out, this place is fine. However, if you want a specific hairstyle, I would look elsewhere.

I went to hair social to lighten up my dark brown hair with highlights and get a cut. Shirin did an amazing job doing my hair! It’s been about two months since I went and my hair still looks amazing. The entire staff there was so nice to me. I asked Shirin for product recommendations for a new shampoo and conditioner too and my hair has never been so soft. Overall I had a great experience here.

My college-aged daughter made an appointment here and when doing so, they asked for her card up front to ‘hold’ her appointment. This morning the entire DMV area received severely nasty weather 5-10 inches of snow projected throughout the day with freezing temperatures. Naturally, she called to ‘reschedule’. She was told that there were no other available appointments this week and if she cancelled, they would charge her card 50% of the total for highlights. I recently moved to Arlington, VA and was in need of a new hair salon. After reading the reviews and looking at the pictures I decided to book an appointment. First, I love that they provide a price range online and are open about it when I asked them on the phone. Second, they were able to book me very last minute!

I don’t know where to begin. First of all the girl that did my hair around April I think her name was Elle did a really bad job, I regret getting it done at this place. I Would not recommend. Me and my cousin got our hair done by these people and we both had a bad experience. Our hair gets so tangled and on top of that we added the “hair treatment” that they recommended so it doesn’t damage the hair. Lies. Seconds I Direct messaged these people on Instagram and they blocked me… lol so unprofessional. Finally, it was really expensive for a poor job they did.

I did my hair color and hair cut couple months ago. I loved my hair color but the hair cut was off from the beginning. After moving here, I was struggling to find a good salon that could color my hair the way I like my blonde (on the ashier side), but I totally lucked out when I found Yejee at Hair Social. On my first visit, she listened to what I wanted, corrected another local salon's highlighting work and did a fantastic job, with the highlights lasting longer than anywhere else I've been.

My favorite salon!! First off, the aesthetic is beautiful, I'm always comfortable and feel like I'm in the most modern and clean place. I love how the products are laid out, and all the greats products that are offered and used on my hair. The stylists are all amazing and so sweet, they're so nice to speak with and always get it right. They ask all the proper questions and make sure you receive a true 5 star treatment in their chairs. From blowouts to color and highlights and cuts, I've done it all here and have always had my expectations exceeded! I get so many compliments

I love this hair salon. I've been twice now and the results were great. Everyone is very professional. I took my daughter to get her first haircut and everyone was so sweet to her and the lady the cut her hair was so patient. My only complaint is that the lady that did my hair was very rough and rushed when she was blow drying my hair. Another lady helped her at the same time and she wasn't rough and didn't hurt me at all.

Got a beautiful balayage done by Victoria and I couldn't be happier! She really takes her time and makes sure you get what you're looking for! She even goes the extra mile and let's you know what colors/tones suite you best. The salon itself is very professional and clean, I don't see myself trusting another place to take care of my hair. If you make an appointment make sure to ask for Victoria !

I spent a good month looking around for a good hair salon and reading reviews. I was super nervous because I decided to go from long hair to a pixie cut and on top of that I wanted to keep my hair to donate it. I ended up choosing HairSocial and I’m so glad I did!! I was worried about the price and the hairstylist but once I got there my worries disappeared! The Price was super reasonable($78 for a cut+style), especially for my length and type of hair. I would like share my gratitude for Victoria she did a wonderful job with my hair. She really did the extreme. I asked her to please work her magic from turning my hair from black to ash blonde in one session basically. It was definitely a hard task given my hair was really dark and I wanted to go to the opposite side of the spectrum. I requested a balayage and she delivered!!! Please book her for your next session. Also, she works really fast which I appreciate as well because I prefer not spend all day at the salon.

First time going to Hair Social.
The stylist barely let me talk. Was trying to convince me to do an entirely new style because it had been awhile since I had changed it. Wanted me to cut off a bunch of the length, etc. I only came in for a trim.
I left feeling a bit rushed out of the chair. And that the stylist didn't really care about what I wanted for MY hair. It wasn't a disaster cut so I'm giving it 2 stars - but I left feeling glad to be out of there.
ALSO. I called to see how much it would cost - and they said "it would depend on how much hair I had." What?!

Wonderful experience. I had my hair done by Julie. She was charming, professional, and very attentive. I had not been to a hair salon in almost 5 years! I have curly Caribbean hair, you know what I’m talking about. Frizzy, curly, has lost its real shape over the years and on top of it, long. I straighten my own hair once a week, but after a hectic weekend I was dead tired and didn’t have an ounce left in me to do the whole hair ordeal. I called and they scheduled me for a wash and dry. Simple. My hair looked fabulous after Julie worked her magic. She even went the length of using the straightener

I went straight to my work after my hair session so don't mind my scrubs. Victoria is amazing! Best balayage I ever got. I had grown out my natural black hair and she managed to get it to what I want in one session. She's very professional and gave me her advice on what would look nice, I'm glad I took it. HairSocial popped up on my radar because of its stellar Yelp reviews, and I'm so glad that I got a chance to try it out! I feel like an actual human who doesn't just have to toss her unruly locks up in a mombun every single minute of the day.
I was able to book an appointment right here on Yelp using the request an appointment feature. The owner was super responsive even though I submitted my request at night, and I had something booked for the next day before I went to bed!
My hair stylist was lovely, friendly, and did a great job. I have pretty serious postpartum hair loss happening
