Tucson Yoga Sol is a new hot and warm yoga studio on Oracle Road, in NW Tucson. Headed by Diane Faircloth Van Maren and Dustin (Dusty) Dame the studio offers classic hot and warm yoga (Bikram method), with several yoga variations (Yin, Basics, Bikram Beats) and Inferno Pilates, which give students a chance to vary their practice throughout the week.
Diane Faircloth Van Maren, one of the two studio owners of TYS, began practicing Bikram Method in 1999 after living several years with back pain. Although it wasn't immediate, over time her back healed and she has remained pain free with regular practice. Inspired by her own healing, she was certified to teach in 2003 and has been active in the Tucson Hot Yoga community ever since.

So, we know now that sitting for long periods of time is not healthy for your body or your mind. Plus, how long have you been staring at that book or screen? Time to take a break from the books and screens and, instead, sweat and move some. How else are you going to survive this? Want to learn more about 6 types of yoga we offer?
What kind of yoga/pilates practice is right for you? All of the yoga we teach and practice is helpful for strength, balance and flexibility. Many of our studio members mix and match the types of classes they attend. Why? Sometimes it is convenience, sometimes the need to do something new or different.
There's been a lot of research on the benefits of yoga in general. It helps with your physical well being and also with mental, emotional and in some cases spiritual well being. Warm and hot yoga classes in the style taught at Tucson Yoga Sol help by warming the muscles, increasing lung capacity, and building a stronger you.
Two of NW Tucson's favorite hot yoga teachers head a new state-of-the-art hot yoga studio with lots of variations on warm & hot yoga. Diane Faircloth Van Maren and Dusty Dame, with support from a community of students who miss their hot yoga and the camaraderie of fellow students, opened a unique new facility on Oracle Rd. just a few blocks south of the former Bikram Yoga Tucson studio.
My increased leg strength from pilates has helped me to engage and lock my standing leg and has allowed me to sit deeper in both eagle and awkward pose. I've also noticed that my back is no longer sore, and I have no doubt this is because of all the core strengthening exercises from pilates. I had no idea how much I was using my back to compensate for a weak core!

Transformational. Truly the best yoga studio in town. Every single instructor is absolutely top notch and the place is clean, comfortable, and always welcoming. Those who are looking for a true Bikram class will be pleased. The Bikram classes aren't just "hot yoga", they include the proper forms. And they do have additional style classes as well with hot Pilates, yin, meditation class. Highly recommend.

I wanted time in the hot room while in Tucson and picked Tucson Yoga Sol over other studios because they offered yin as well as the traditional Bikram classes (standard 90-minute and shortened versions).
Every instructor I had at Tucson Yoga Sol was knowledgeable, patient, approachable, and seemed to really enjoy what they do. If you have a chance to take a class from Diane in particular, definitely do.
This studio has two rooms for classes, both of which have hardwood floors. If you prefer more cushion, you may want to bring or rent an extra towel for the floor series.

I Love Tucson Yoga Sol!!!
Yoga Sol has transformed my practice. And by that I mean it has finally connected the dots between mind, body and soul. It's like the piece of the Yoga puzzle I've been missing for so many years. Not only are the instructors kind, gentle, encouraging and motivating; but they possess a knowledge of Yoga unlike anything I've experienced. I love that the classes are never overcrowded, the bathrooms and showers are always clean, and the prices are affordable. I highly recommend venturing out and trying the Inferno Pilates class and the Yin Yoga. The variety Yoga Sol offers

I was visiting for a few weeks and needed a studio to practice at while I was in the area. I was recommended this studio from the lady I was staying with so I decided to check it out. I have never done bikram before so I was down to try it out. I normally do heated vinyasa flow. I only the did the 60 minute classes here. The room was set around 110 degrees. The classes are extremely good work outs. I felt like the entire class was lower body workouts while I was in the class, but the next day my entire body hurt. I was extremely surprised. The classes start with a breathing exercises, then they

Great Studio!
I am on a work trip from Denver and decided to take a drop in 90 min session on a Wed. The staff was very welcoming as well as the yogis in class. The instructor was clear and helpful on all the poses and helped me when I was not in correct form. I left feeling energized and accomplished.
I will be back on my next trip to Tucson. Thank you YogaSol
