If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked a room through Hotels.com as I needed to stay somewhere for the night in the area - I chose here because it looked fine enough from the pictures and the price was great. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for somewhere else! We got our room switched once and then decided to leave the same night because everything was dirty/we felt unsafe.
The hallways and rooms smell of cigarettes. There are cigarette burns on everything inside the rooms as well. We had our room switched and it was only slightly better than the first.
Everything in each room was

My problems were
• need to do something about cats in the lobby it’s understandable why they are there ( they explained the cats in elevator on paper) but it’s un professional .
• need to do something about customers uncontrollable/untrained dogs that barks all night nonstop , it’s disturbing to my rest an sleep .
• need to have consideration think of those that maybe allergic to animals
( Which I am cats an dogs )
• need to have a floor for those that have animals like cats / dogs whatever
also a floor without animals for those who can’t or don’t want to me around them

Shabby chic - have stayed here before for convenience to office & downtown. No more....roaches in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Housekeeping changed towels in the morning BUT removed the shower curtain...being creative we used the top sheet(had to be laundered anyway) and hangers to create a "shower curtain".

Checked in a little after midnight. Front desk lady was performing a night audit and something went wrong. She was not able to check us in, so she decided to give us a key and check us in later. We reserved a room with 2 double beds, but they were overbooked. She offered us a king suite with a pull out couch. We have 2 small kids, so we were OK. However, the next morning they tried to charge us for a King suite which was more expensive than a double bed room. Had to explain the morning shift from my desk about what happened. She corrected everything quickly. Hotel needs serious remodining. Rooms

This hotel is nasty and unkept. Upon checking in they charge you a $300 deposit and you have to be “cleared” by housekeeping upon check out to get your money back. It is not sanitary and my family had to go buy cleaning supplies just for the one night we were present. Do not waste your money here, you can stay at Motel 6 for cheaper with more sanitary rooms. The only plus was how spacious the rooms were.

Really not a nice place...like at all. Traveled to Stamford for work and i chose this place before looking at yelp reviews. Ugh. I got the creeps the minute I entered my room. Just so old, stinky, outdated, and I dunno where else to continue. They out plug in air fresheners and it's overwhelming but still doesn't cover the musk smell. The couches look like they were free from the size of the road and the carpet is just nasty. The bed was however comfy and clean and the towels were really nice. But that's about it. Their breakfast is a joke as well. Gross. Anyhow. Just be warned.

I see the bad reviews but I have stayed here 4 times now and have never had an issue. Rooms are huge and they are good prices for what you're getting. You're walking distance from downtown Stamford and 20 minutes from New York. The hotel inside is outdated but it has been clean every time for me. The photos are deceiving as there is no pool inside but you get key tags for the Stamford Athletic center and have to drive there. It's about a mile away. Also check out is 12 which is later than most hotels. I always come here when I stay in Stamford.

I stayed here several times, as it is convenient to the night life downtown. The rooms are spacious and can accommodate several adults with the bedroom and sofa bed.
This past visit however, a man came in my room at 9:50am - that's right...he let himself right in (there are no dead bolts on the door) and was yelling to us, asking if we were leaving today.
Seriously???? He woke us up and was IN OUR ROOM ASKING IF WE WERE LEAVING.
this was over an hour after I called the front desk and was granted a late check out of 1pm.
I'm a bit speechless. Beware.

From the outside (and the inside) this hotel is quite dated. The rooms are large and are in relatively good condition for their age. I was downgraded to the first floor from the second when I checked in with my service animal. The first floor rooms barely have windows only at the top of the wall, minimizing the sunlight. I requested a room with regular windows but was told that it was hotel policy.
Otherwise, the front desk staff are friendly and there is free wifi and parking.
There is also a free continental breakfast every morning consisting of coffee, cereal, juice, and pastries.

Do NOT stay here. I don't know what the deal is with this place, but it was by far one of the creepiest places I've ever stayed.
From the weird 80s Asian decor to my room with blacked out windows and a random door that opens to nowhere this place will definitely go down in my list of weird EXTREMELY overpriced spots.
* the room - blacked out windows, a weird exterior door that opened to nowhere, filthy couch, filthier carpet, creepy yellow drop ceiling, cracked tub, horrible TV channel selection, no ice bucket, no ice machine, no glasses in the room, I mean I'm shocked it had

I had a horrible experience at this hotel and will never return. I reserved a suite for 4 guest and they only gave us 2 towels and 2 wash cloths. When we asked for 2 more towels, they said we wasn't allowed any more towels and that they were all dirty. The pool wasn't open at the time and I dont even think they have a pool in the building. They told us it was across the street. Then when we asked for sheets and covers for the pull out couch they also said there was none in the building at the time and that they were dirty. I will never stay here again!
