I was looking forward to a heated yoga class after my bunch on Saturday. I just started up classpass again and haven’t been in many in person classes since the pandemic began. Needless to say, my yoga was a bit rusty so iwas craving an authentic experience. I browsemmy classpass app for studios close by Culver City. This studio seemed like a good fit at first glance. But When I walked into The studio for the first time, the front desk person was too busy texting on her phone to help me properly. I went to sort myself out and When I came back to the front desk for the second time to ask for a

I have wandered into so many yoga studios over the years, even stayed for a few, but I have never felt as comfortable as I do here. Each teacher is informative, kind, gentle, and strong. There are so many classes here, so many different styles too!!! Each time I leave the building I am in a better place, mentally, than when I arrived-anxiety, stress, constant chaos, traffic, inner chatter… it’s all lessened dramatically since I have found this amazing place with all the wonderful people who teach here. You guys are the best! 🙏

I signed up for a class here on Classpass and arrived 5 minutes late, which is still within a reasonable time given that this is LA. The door was locked and there was no one in the front, and based on other reviews this could mean that the last class was running over, though I assume the class already started since there was no one else outside. Either way, I think it's unreasonably harsh to lock the door if anyone arrives even a little late without any communication ahead of time that this is their policy. Parking and traffic around this area is difficult enough to not be allowed in to a

Absolutely love this studio! Have been renting the space for months to run my own Bollywood classes. Super kind owner (Kumi) and front desk people.. basically it is a sweet community of yoga lovers! Everyone is welcomed here.
The studio is decorated beautifully and the patio is great with an outdoor shower! My fav part is the flooring. I have not been having any pains after working out/dancing in this space because of the soft flooring. Highly recommend this for instructors if you are looking to rent this place for a class/shoot or for anyone who wants to take a yoga class.

I would love to love this place, but unfortunately this studio just doesn't want my money.
I bought a 10 class yoga pack from their Groupon page but had trouble booking online, so Groupon tried contacting Veda Yoga to no response. I tried calling Veda Yoga, going to the yoga studio in person, texting them, and then emailing them. No response. I gave up after a month of trying to contact them.
I have no idea how this business is even operating when there's literally no form of customer service.

I have been practicing Yoga for a couple years and have been to many yoga studios, some were hit and miss. Veda is my favorite by FAR. The instructors show you techniques that improve your practice, classes are "go at your own pace," and Kumi is amazing. I highly recommend this place for yogis of all skill levels.

The Veda Yoga Center is one of those places you can get a great workout, learn something, and connect with your spirit. The community is connected and uplifting, and the teachers are knowledgable and balanced.
Marxell's class is upbeat and inspiring. If you seek to sweat and push yourself, this is an excellent choice.
Johanna's class is ALWAYS perfect. She is a true Teacher in every sense of the word.
Kumi, the owner, maintains a close connection to her students, business, and is involved. Her classes are versatile, fun, and bring things back into perspective :)

This place is the best. I am an on again/ off again yogi, but every time I am on, I come here. Kumi, the owner, is one of a kind amazing. An incredibly warm person that always makes you feel welcome at the studio. They recently expanded and opened a second room which has hot yoga. Just recently I was brave enough to attend classes not taught by Kumi and am really pleased. Nora has been teaching some really great classes and brings a great sense of calm and compassion to the practice.
They offer all leveled of classes and many different workshops and retreats. Check them out!

Trying a new yoga studio can be intimidating, especially after not practicing for some time, but my first class at Veda I immediately felt comfortable and was warmly welcomed. I signed up for two classes with Kumi and Noel, both were wonderfully knowledgeable and I was very comfortable with the pace of the Veda Yoga I class. Really enjoyed my experience and can't wait to sign up for more classes!
Kumi shared the space will be expanding, so more class offerings. Note free meter parking on Sunday!

Background: I took my first yoga class - Stiff Guy Yoga at the Equinox in Culver City - about 9 months ago and ended up liking it and moved on to a consistent vinyasa practice at the gym since then. I've wanted to venture out and see what yoga classes are like outside the gym setting, and that's how I ended up at Veda.
I found a great deal for a month of classes, and the studio is not far from where I live, so I figured I'd give it a try.
PROS:
- A variety of classes/instructors for the size of the studio. I took Veda 1 & 2 classes with different instructors and liked all

I'm new to yoga as it was one of my ~New Years~ resolutions to practice (touching my toes on a good day has probably been the extent of my flexibility.
I really liked this studio because unlike so many studios in LA it's not pretentious and really focuses on just a pure Yoga practice without any of the sometimes unnecessary bells and whistles. Whether you're a beginner (like me) or a seasoned pro doing handstands in class (I see you and am intimidated by you) the classes are small and you really get attention from the instructor unlike other cookie cutter studios.

There's a variety of styles/ levels here with wonderful teachers. It's a good challenge for me after more than two decades of taking yoga classes to expand my mind-body discovery. It's a pleasant and warm community of yogis practicing and it's walking distance from my home. The online class-booking is easy. I'm glad I finally walked into Veda Yoga!

I really absolutely love this studio. I've been hopping around LA trying to find a yoga studio that didn't feel so sterile, or so corporatey.. Here at Veda, I've found that. The instruction is amazing, and I always leave the class feeling fulfilled and better than I arrived. Kumi is a wonderful instructor, and I really like how she seems interested in all her students. Even when I first did the Groupon, she would make adjustments on me, and help find an alternative when I couldn't do a specific pose. This kind of instruction is invaluable, and I've seen my practice improve

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, so landing at a 3.5. Went to my first class here today--the Veda Sculpt. The class was an hour, and combined traditional yoga with hand weights. And it was HARD. I need to do more weight training, so I appreciate how unique this class is. I only wish it would go a little slower, because I found that my form was getting sloppy as I tried to keep up. Seems like it could be easy to get injured, and since I just spent 6 months in PT for another sports injury, I'm all about prevention these days.
The other downside is the parking situation. It's not easy

This place is life-changing.
As someone who was always interested in doing yoga, I tried different studios but never really got into it - I often got bored with it or felt a divide between the teachers and students. It's been close to a year that I've joined Veda Yoga and I couldn't be happier with it. The teachers bring their own unique magic to class, and help you grow & become stronger physically and mentally. They will challenge you, support you, and inspire you with their incredible wisdom and passion for yoga & wellness. I haven't been able to stay away for longer

I came across Veda Yoga Center via Groupon. It is located on the corner of Venice and Bagley. Parking: There are only 4 tandem parking spaces attached to the studio. There is also a print shop parking across the street but with limited hours. I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 7 years and have only taken two type of classes here - Veda Sculpt and Veda 2. Each class is offered an hour long.
Class breakdown:
Veda Sculpt: Reminds me of a VERY similar structure to a yoga sculpt class from a popular studio chain. Veda Sculpt is less structured and not as much high energy as its competitor

The instructors are friendly and welcoming, and they always ask me what injuries I have and what poses I'd like to work on. Their instructions are clear, and they've got truly supportive attitudes that make me want to be there. They always seem to know when to make sure I hold back when I'm injured, and to challenge myself to push further when I'm healthy. I've seen my yoga practice improve since joining Veda in July, and I always look forward to my next class.

I visit the area annually and have made Veda Yoga a part of my time here! I don't practice yoga often, but I enjoy the challenge and trying something new when I can. The instructors are friendly, encouraging, challenging and knowledgeable; they encourage you to relax, not to compare, appreciate your body and just to be present during your practice. I love it and would recommend this establishment.

This yoga studio is so popular! I'm used to going to classes with maybe a dozen people at most, but both of the classes I've attended here have been full with probably 25 people packed into the studio and each mat just inches apart.
Before trying out Veda I would have thought that it wasn't possible to do a studio with mats so close together, but it definitely works...and I can see why so many people come here -- the instruction is excellent! I've taken two classes with Taylor who is just a yoga rock star. He will correct your poses as needed (for the beginners or intermediates
