This is a great community yoga studio in the heart of Culver City. Thomas is the new owner and an amazing instructor. Super nice guy and very talented, he used to be the top teacher trainer for Yogaworks and is wonderful for beginners to advanced students. They limit the numbers due to Covid, and I felt very comfortable. I highly recommend it. Great vibe makes it a perfect spot!

I LOVE this studio. I had not practiced yoga for a year due to a neck injury and when I was ready to go back to yoga, I found SoulPlay. My instructors are aware of my injuries and they always keep an eye on me to make sure I am getting stronger rather than exacerbating my injury. I have gotten so much stronger thanks to them! The environment is warm, calm, clean and the instructors are incredible. I highly recommend this studio for anyone practicing at any level.

Now called SoulPlay, this fantastic yoga studio is a stalwart of downtown Culver City. It has been owned by local women the entire time I've been a member (7 years). They believe in community, acceptance, and a terrific, playful vibe. I am so, so grateful to the fine folks of SoulPlay for providing an anchor for my mental and physical health at such a wild time.

Soul Play yoga is a main stay of downtown Culver City. During the pandemic, they have moved to a lovely outdoor location where they’ve been holding socially distanced, masked classes while also live-streaming. There is a full schedule of classes from restorative to strong vinyasa flow. Parking is easy. Advance reservation for class via the web site.

I've been taking Erin's pre / postnatal yoga for 6+ months now and love her classes! She brings soooo much positive energy and is great at providing stretches that can easily be incorporated in everyday life too. Highly recommend for any expecting or new mamas! I have had nothing but a positive experience with SoulPlay as a whole - such a warm and friendly environment to practice yoga in ( even virtually!) and on the pre/postnatal side, they do a great job of fostering a community for us moms.

I am really enjoying SoulPlay Yoga. I had seen them in the neighborhood and on a whim one day I saw that they were offering a Groupon deal for 10 classes for $60 (to be used in a 2 month period). I decided to give it a shot!
So far I have taken 2 different classes at SoulPlay - Yoga Basics & All Levels Flow. Both classes were really fun and the right amount of challenging! I really appreciate that the studio is down to earth and welcoming. I'm not in really good shape, and I probably weigh twice as much as most women in the class - but I don't feel out of place and that is a really

Such a cute studio! I love the art on the walls, the hardwood floors and how functional and fun the sequences are in Nathania's classes.
This studio is great for all levels or is your really want to challenge yourself in a strong flow! This is a studio for community :). I learn things at this studio that I haven't learned elsewhere which stimulates my focus even more. There is a chill vibe that I'm grateful for in the space.

SoulPlay, formerly known as GODA, has made some changes to the studio, but nothing too dramatically different. I've been with this studio for almost 3 years now. I just learned the other day that the last owner, Cheryl, opened the studio on September 12, 2001. How crazy is that?!
It is the first yoga studio opened in Culver City and it has survived among all the other studios popping up around it and in nearby cities. I think a significant part of Soulplay is their strong community base. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. It doesn't come across as competitive in any way (like

Goda Yoga is staffed with warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful instructors. The space is clean and comfortable. It is small enough to not feel like a zoo of people, but big enough to not feel cramped. The staff and people who attend are not pretentious, and are non judgmental. It is NOT a social scene. It is easy to feel comfortable there, even if you are new to the practice.
