Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home is a sole-proprietorship business that was originally established in 1933 by the late Lester V. Evans. When Lester opened the funeral home, he envisioned the home as being not only a business, but to also be a service to the community. He was all about family and maintaining a family traditional funeral service.
That was 80 years ago and times were much simpler. Now we are into the computer age with higher technology in many industries especially in the funeral industry. However, one thing hasn't changed in these past years, and that is "family pride", "empathy", and "a simple understanding" of the many conflicts that may evolve in many of the families of today and the future.

The Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home is what is coined a "Mom and Pop Operation." Owned and operated by Jean and Richard Thompson, Richard is a more of a behind-the-scene person. However, you might see him shoveling snow or mowing grass depending on the season, also he performs many of the maintenance and business needs of the business.

These services include, but are not limited to: Traditional Funeral Services with guaranteed funeral costs and nursing home protection which are also transferrable. Again, all of these types of services are provided with you and your loved one in mind and are strictly performed to meet your wishes as desired.
The Funeral Home is nestled in Northwestern Pennsylvania near the shores of Lake Erie and the Ohio state line in a wonderful town called East Springfield, which is home to approximately 3,000 people in our whole combined township.
