Yoga Is Youthfulness
Ashtanga is a vigorous and flowing with the breath style of yoga developed in the 20th century. It is the original power yoga. it follows the same sequence, that prepares one for next. If you like some core strength, stretches, overall body strength and stamina, and mindfulness in it, then this is for you.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30pm, Friday at 6:30am, Saturday at 10am, Sunday at 7am. Sunday thru Thursday Mysore in the morning. Vinyasa and/or Flow is empowering energetically, mentally focusing, and spiritually up-lifting. With strength and flexibility at it's core. In Vinyasa we follow a combination of poses and pace per the instructor.
Services
Beata is leading YiY morning Mysore program. She holds a level II authorization to teach the ashtanga yoga system that she received from KPJYI in Mysore, India. She has started her yoga adventure over 20 years ago in Poland in an Iyengar class. She practiced Iyengar and many other styles of yoga before completely dedicating herself to ashtanga.
Welcome to Yoga is Youthfulness, family-owned studio that provides high-quality yoga that is friendly, open, and attentive to beginning students, while also being a destination for advanced practitioners. A yoga practitioner for over 20 years, the co-founder of YIY, Joseph Hentz opened our studio after he personally experienced how yoga had helped him to develop greater self-awareness, resilience and a healthier body, mind and spirit.
If you are first time to YiY, you can sign up for any class, you will be asked to create your account first. What sort of yoga should I try? The best thing to do is try several classes to get an idea of the style of yoga you are most comfortable with.

Each style is dependent upon the teacher and style, so it is a good idea to try different teachers, read the description of the class on our schedule, to make sure you find the class that is right for you. What should I bring to class? Either virtually or in person, bring yourself, in comfortable clothing where the instructor can have a good idea of your alignment, and a mat.
As our nation grieves the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many other Black lives lost at the hands of the police officers sworn to protect them, we at Yoga is Youthfulness wanted to publicly express our solidarity and say that Black Lives Matter. Our Black friends, neighbors, colleagues, and community members are suffering and not safe, and treated as if they don't matter.

Came here for prenatal classes with Marti Foster. 7pm is a great time for a working expecting mom to unwind and reconnect with her little one! These classes helped me so much during my pregnancy to build strength and stay grounded. And the sense of community with other moms in the class was always a plus. Covid was a bummer in the second half of my pregnancy but the virtual classes were great too! The great news is that Marti is coming back to teach in studio starting June 7th at 7pm- if you're expecting, I highly recommend this class!

Prenatal Yoga with Marti is worth every minute of your time! She is a warm, supportive, and knowledgeable instructor who truly cares about her students. In addition to a welcoming community, Marti prepares you for "the Olympic Event" (giving birth) of your life. From showing you that you can be a fierce pregnant woman to a calm and focused caregiver, Marti can and will show you how. I am truly grateful that a class like this exists and recommend you check out the class that will help prepare you for what is to come.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Sage Women yoga class taught by Marti Foster at Yoga is Youthfulness! At age 62, I needed something that was not going to break anything. The speed of other classes left me in pain too many times. This class still finds plenty of ways to challenge me, and I sure do feel the difference after only three classes, but nothing hurts and everything is better. The restorative component and the sacred feeling I get from Marti's class leaves me in the perfect place for a good night's sleep. I just signed up for 20 more classes- I am that sure that I want to keep Sage

Prenatal Yoga with Marti is just a must if you are pregnant! I recommend it to anyone who is thinking of doing some activities to get strong during pregnancy, prepare yourself physically and emotionally for the labor!
This is not only a class, but a community of women where problems are shared and resolved and pieces of advice are given.

So if you are looking for some prenatal yoga -- this is a class for you! You won't regret it

Mojdeh and Phillipe are serious students and teachers of yoga. They really know their stuff and how to help you deepen your practice. The students who develop their own practice through the Mysore option are inspiring. This is real yoga, without the stuff that sometimes gets added in from American physical education traditions. I have enjoyed practicing here for the past few years and highly recommend people give it a try.

I have participated in yoga classes previous to this one. I will be returning weekly for this restorative gentle yoga class with Marti Foster. This location was super easy for me to get to without dealing with traffic and the group facilitator Marti Foster was gentle, mindful and intuitive to each of the individual needs of the student. She facilitates this group with grace and ease. Sharing this healing space with these women soothed my soul. I felt welcome and held in a gentle loving space. Gratitude for healing. I have already invited two of my senior neighbors to attend. The class is a specialty

Like some others have said, this place is more a community to me than just a yoga studio. I mostly practice Morning Mysore with Beata(who is a Level 2 KP Jayi authorized teacher) and Meghan who teach on Tuesday/Thursday and Wednesday/Friday. They both are phenomenal and bring incredible knowledge, kindness, humor and experience to the Mysore room. Their adjustments are spot-on and very mindful. They meet you wherever you are in your own practice and guide you ahead. The ginger-spiced chai after (there are volunteer chaiwalas) completes your yoga practice and has become a ritual I look forward to

Mojdeh is one of the best Yoga Instructors I ever met.
She is so knowledgeable. She cares of every single client in the yoga class. She makes sure that everyone's poses are accurate and there is not any probability to injure any joints/muscles.

I , myself, am a professional personal trainer and I totally understand how overwhelming can be to focus of every one in a fitness group class. Mojdeh is very good at it because she loves yoga , she loves her clients and she cares about everyone.
I remember 2 Years ago when I was looking for more advanced yoga, a friend of mine , who he is professional

I've been a regular attendee of Marti's prenatal yoga for about ~7months now and I Love it!  The yoga group is really helpful not only from a fitness perspective, but also in terms of the community it provides and the helpful discussions we have about everything :)

Each class that Marti does is uniquely designed based on the input from all the students. This to me is the best part as every class provides a very different experience and I also end-up getting attention to the areas I most need. The mantra's Marti preaches throughout the class are so soothing and a pure joy that

I recently joined this place for my prenatal yoga practise.

I wanted to keep myself active throughout my pregnancy and thats why I decided to join.

Apart from being physically active, the prenatal yoga by Marti has been immensely helpful in improving my overall mental and physical health.

Due to hormonal imbalance in pregnancy, I had severe mood swings! I became too short-tempered and was always angry on minor things. Yoga and meditation has helped me keep calm and now I feel peaceful from within.

Marti is a great trainer. She makes sure she talks to her every student during the class and

I love this yoga studio, and have been taking classes by Thoa van Seventer and Anne Namur. The place is clean and light-filled, and in a great location in downtown Mountain View. The lunchtime yoga classes work out well with my work schedule. I like the diverse clientele (all ages, levels, backgrounds).

Mojdeh is the best when it comes to Yoga or meditation. I have now been going to this yoga studio for 2 years and I have been to Ashtanga and the meditation classes instructed by Mojdeh and I cannot get enough. She is a master teacher and very gentle in her instructions. I love her meditation classes on Sunday evenings and it is the best way to end my week with a wonderful group of people. Mojdeh's friday night deep healing relaxation is also fantastic as she takes to through a healing journey of relaxation and letting go of all the tension in your body.

Great community of dedicated teachers and practitioners of Yoga where teachers most of the students by their first name. Teachers meet the students at where they are in their practice. The top or one of the top places in Bay Area for Ashtanga. The Ashtanga teachers are grounded in the tradition without being rigid. The schedule is great for Ashtanga as there are both morning Mysore with Anne and Beata and evening led with Mojdeh (but you can practice Mysore if you wanted to) with newcomers and experienced practitioners practicing alongside in both.
There are other classes in other styles that are

This place is AMAZING for prenatal yoga. Both of the weekly prenatal classes are taught by Marty, who brings an awesome mixture of knowledge and calming presence. As far as the classes, they always start with a "community" time where each person talks about how far along they are and any symptoms they are experiencing so that Marty can address those in class if possible. The yoga practice is very different from typical, non-prenatal yoga classes but I love it. It is a mixture of strengthening, relaxation, and connecting to your strength as a woman and the baby growing inside of you

It had been 15 years since my previous yoga experience and I was very nervous about getting started again. I went to Vinyasa Flow with Thoa which didn't suit my needs. She didn't do a great job demonstrating the poses which was very difficult for me.

The next night I attended Flow for strength with Julianne and it was wonderful. She came up to me right away, asked me my name and my experience. I felt very welcomed. She made a point to ask the whole class whether or not we were comfortable with her making adjustments to our poses throughout our practice. I felt very at ease in her

Marty is amazing! I have sampled a lot of different prenatal yoga classes in South Bay and this place is the absolute best. Marty is very knowledgeable and totally goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, help form a binding with other yogis and most importantly to have a good time! She recently got a professional musician for the class to help the practice and it certainly did put is in a different zone.

Also the bonus is these guys are the best priced in South Bay! So If you're looking for prenatal yoga, this is the place to goto!

I took a hip opening workshop led by Julianne a little over four months ago, it actually was my very first yoga class at a yoga studio. I like Julianne's teaching and the studio very much, I have been coming to YIY regularly since.

The studio is tucked in the corner of the same building where the Wells Fargo bank is. The interior is clean and calming due to the beautiful tall trees surrounding the building. The staff are friendly and the place provides essential yoga gadgets (mats, belts, blocks, blankets, towels, etc) you need for yoga practice.

I have taken classes with a number of different

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this yoga studio. I'm a complete beginner to yoga. I tried the beginner package (VERY affordable in the Silicon Valley.) I was hooked after the first class. Mojdeh asks newer students to sit in the middle of the class near her. She gets to know you on a personal level. The class is not intimidating at all and has an intimate feel to it. She is able to get to each individual and work on their personal abilities, strengths and weaknesses even when the class has 30 people in it! They provide mats, towels, blankets, and yoga tools for you to use.

Just updating here to say that I've now tried all the ashtanga teachers' classes. And love them. For those starting to get into ashtanga, Mojdeh is perfect. For those trying advance beyond navasana in the primary series, try Beata's Friday morning class - she takes you through the full series so you can have a taste and start to work on your supta kurmasana (or whatever ails you!)

I love that all the ashtanga led classes offer the option of mysore - though I'm not there in my own practice yet, it's great to have the option to practice mysore in the evenings as well
