Founded in 2007, Resort Inventory Group, is headquartered in Brevard, North Carolina, with offices in Phoenix and Atlanta. A marketing company bringing together hotels and resorts with membership based travel companies and vacation clubs. One resort property received over $1.41 Million in added room revenue on vacant rooms in 2016.
When unoccupied rooms go vacant, it drags down RevPar. When resorts book long-stay rooms, well in advance, thereby reducing the quantity of rooms to sell, it increases RevPar and provides cash flow on underperforming inventory. It "builds the base" upon which other marketing programs can depend. Today Yield Management techniques have resulted in price wars that have depressed a hotel market's overall RevPar, not just the participating hotel.
