Services
E founded Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital in 2013 to bring her philosophy of pet care to Northeast Georgia. She received her Bachelors of Science from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. In 2002, she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. Right away, she moved to northeast Georgia for the natural splendor and vibrant community.
Astrid has been working in the veterinary field since 2005 and has been with Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital since our doors opened in 2013. While she is cross-trained as a client service representative and a veterinary assistant, Astrid is also our go-to person for anything inventory or computer related and helps keep the office running smoothly.
Yonah Animal Hospital began as a vision of Dr. Rachel Eddleman's to provide the very best medical care for pets, as well as a place to support and enrich the lives of the people who own them. Originally a century-old home located in Cleveland, Georgia, our hospital is now a completely renovated state-of-the-art facility with the warmth of home.

I highly recommend this vet. We were on vacation in the Helen area with our dog, Scully, and they were able fit us in and treat her unexected illness the same day we called even though we were from another state. Our Scully was feeling much better in no time. They even called to follow up and make sure Scully was feeling better the next day, and they were very affordable, too. Thanks for such fantastic care!

Critical: Professionalism
They have poor communication. They tell you it's a recheck, then charge you for an exam. They charge you for stuff you did not concent to. I am done! I will just have to drive further for better care. They don't have you signing off on everything they are going to charge you, unprofessional.

We love Mt. Yonah. Having just moved to the area from a large city, we were worried about finding a good vet here. From our first visit, everyone at Mt. Yonah was very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is also super clean every time we're there. Everyone we've met there has been great with our dog, and he actually loves going to the vet because he loves seeing his friends. We've also used the groomer at Mt. Yonah and she was fantastic. It was our puppy's first grooming appointment and she was very patient with him and did an amazing job.
