Services
Funerals serve an important purpose: they allow us to recognize a life that was lived and acknowledge that the life has come to an end. Funerals exist for the living, for survivors who suffer the loss of a loved one. We understand that every family is different. Influences such as religious and cultural traditions, cost concerns and personal preferences make each funeral as unique as the person who is being honored.
A funeral represents a purposeful opportunity to reflect on the meaning of a life that has been lived and to determine the impact of that meaning for the family and friends. There is no single proper funeral service. It is a time for human sharing in its deepest sense. You and the ones you love are at the very center of the process, and the choices you make will determine its significance for you.
The number of people choosing cremation has increased significantly in the past few years, yet cremation carries a long tradition and remains largely unchanged. Cremation simply expedites the process of reducing a body to bone fragments through application of intense heat. What is done before or after the cremation is up to the survivors, or up to you.
To help you understand all of the costs associated with a funeral service and make an informed decision, we've broken them down in our general price list. If you need any assistance or have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our staff is happy to help you explore all the options available to you.
We're proud to do our part in honoring our country's veterans. Our duty is to provide you and your family with professional and dignified assistance during your time of need, and we promise to support you in honoring your loved one for their dedication and selfless service. Former military members who served on active duty and departed under honorable conditions.

My mom passed away October 2021 and I called Memorial Funeral Home. Sight unseen, I made arrangements for her. Tom, Laura, Ryan, and the whole staff were professional, compassionate and very easy to talk to. Everything went smoothly and it was a beautiful service. The building itself was so warm and cozy. My mom looked beautiful. Thank you.

The staff was extremely professional and sensitive to our needs as a grieving family. Tom and his staff were particularly helpful in coordinating a service given the challenges of so many out of town family members. Their attention to every detail made a difficult process seamless. We cannot thank them enough.

With all of the chaos surrounding the times that we live in, Ryan at Memorial Funeral homes lifted a huge weight off my shoulders in how he went above and beyond to make sure that my Mother's remains where handled with care and dignity. It was great comfort for me to see that someone still had empathy, care , and professionalism at a very difficult time. Memorial Funeral Home of Fanwood, NJ did an excellent job with the arrangements for the funeral of my mother, Bernice Peterson Covert. The funeral was to be in Pennsylvania, but everything was transported with care and every aspect went smoothly. My mother had been ill, but she looked perfect, and everything was done with grace, dignity and understanding. We the family were inexperienced in funeral planning, but we put ourselves in the hands of the staff and everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Had an overall really good experience after my dad passed away. Our contact was really empathetic and creative serving our needs. From trying to unlock face ID on my dad phone to finding a crematorium that would let us visit even during COVID to letting us visit the body, he was flexible and service oriented.
The one small issue was that we asked to put in letters to our dad with his casket to go in the crematorium. Memorial very willingly helped us with that. When we went to their office and they kindly made us copies of our letters for reference, they absentmindedly mixed up the originals from

I wanted to just share my experience with Memorial funeral home. Due to this pandemic, I had unfortunately lost my grandmother May 1st & just recently my aunt on June 4th. Ryan Tombs handled both of these services with care, empathy, and efficiency. He communicated with us every step of the way and made it possible for family members who could not make it to attend via zoom. My aunt, looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL and most importantly PEACEFUL! It was an unfortunate circumstance that was made so much easier with the help of Ryan. Thank you SO much. We cannot express enough from both sides of the family

I am grateful to Ryan and he deserves praise. He assisted my family and I with arranging a beautiful funeral ceremony. I was stricken with grief upon entering Memorial Funeral Home, but when I saw how beautiful my sister looked, I was confronted with peace. Ryan showed us compassion and empathy throughout the funeral service. My sister deserved the best and Ryan fulfilled that wish.

It takes a special kind of person to help families get through some of the worst days of their lives. Jim, Ryan, Mary and Tom walked us through all the details, made suggestions and were flexible in customizing items like the memorial cards. They set up a stream of an interview with my late father in the lobby of the home without our even thinking of it. They even recommended a wonderful minister, Rev. Linda Owens of The Presbyterian Church of Bound Brook. When we decided we would not be able to get through a eulogy, she crafted one that was beautiful based on notes about my dad and our family

Laura and Memorial's entire staff expertly guided our family through what is definitely our most difficult time to date. My father's sudden death left us at sea and we immediately chose Memorial because of the professional and understanding way they handled us as well as every detail of the service. Everyone in attendance remarked on how beautiful, tasteful, and seamless the service was. Thank you so much.

Recently we lost our beloved Dad, and we needed to quickly make decisions on the arrangements. We decided on Fanwood Mem, and it was the right decision for so many reasons.
Tom, Buddy and Laura were all compassionate and professional; all the while gently guiding us in the decisions that needed to be made. They anticipated the very many details that had to be taken care of (photos, flowers), and they did a great job at taking things off of our shoulders. Examples including helping my mom with a wheelchair as soon as we pulled up, responding quickly to my many emails, creating a memory book

Tom and Buddy were absolutely the epitome of professionalism, empathy, understanding, and customer service. The service was flawless, all the details were handled meticulously and perfectly and they went above and beyond to ensure that my grandmother was presented in the best and most dignified way. AND their price was the fairest of the six competitors we priced out. We highly recommend Memorial Funeral Home without any hesitation.
