The Indianola Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1952 and has been locally owned ever since. The clinic has transitioned over 65+ years into a full-service mixed animal practice for Indianola and the surrounding communities. We treat small animals, livestock, horses, and more. We were honored to be voted Des Moines Metro's Best Veterinary Clinic.
We are a walk-in clinic for small animal routine vaccinations, medical care and emergencies. Large animal and surgeries are done by appointment. We continue to operate as a walk-in clinic but ask that you call from your vehicle once you arrive. Our staff will then assist you with further direction before entering the building.

We welcome walk-in customers for small animal routine vaccinations, exams, medical conditions, and emergencies. We perform a variety of surgeries from routine spay and neuters by appointment to more specialized and emergency surgeries. Our clinic also offers after-hours care for our clients.
Diagnostics: With the ability to perform in-house blood work, radiographs, basic ultrasound, and many other diagnostics, our staff can diagnose common conditions quickly for you and your pet.Reproductive Medicine: We offer ultrasound for early pregnancy diagnosis as well as radiographs after 45 days for litter counts.

We offer large animal services that include reproductive, preventative care, heard health, disease and medical treatment, surgeries, and more. A variety of products for treatment and preventative care such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, vitamins, and much more are available at our clinic. Please call to schedule an appointment.
We offer a state inspected and highly recommended boarding facility. With our full-time staff, we provide your pet with a home away from home experience. Very good place. The staff are very friendly and very patient with their customers and the pets needs. Just had my puppy taken in go be fixed, appreciate the techniction going over the recovery process. Price was very, very reasonable, much less than I imagined compare to my last vet, best of all things for my pups having outstanding care! Thank you to the staff and the doctors!

I used to like this vet clinic but no more. Since the older doctors have retired they are very unprofessional. They are all about the money. They won't call in my dog's prescription, say they don't do it like that anymore. They say they are cheaper but they are not and they want the sale. Please don't use this vet clinic because they only care about the money and are a rip off!!!!!

Great place! I had too go back again due to dogs injury with in a week. The second time I came back I wanted Dr. Brennan again because he really cares about Emily. I wasn't able too get him again due to surgery. I got Dr. Freeze I was worried he may not be as good as Dr. Brennan. Dr. Freeze is an excellent vet as well!! I have heard nothing but great things about this clinic!! Thank You too my neighbor for the reference! The staff are all very kind & helpful! They care about our crybabies & that's very important too me! I have gone too the small animal hospital in Indianola they are AWEFUL!! All
