Via transforms transportation and logistics systems into highly efficient digital networks. From branded apps to sophisticated algorithms, our fully integrated and customizable platform gives our partners ultimate flexibility and control over their network. Whether you're a public transit organization, a private transportation operator, or a major corporation, Via's platform provides tailored solutions to meet your needs.

Via Jersey City is connecting communities with affordable service to close transit gaps, increase access to jobs and education, and countless other opportunities. Mayors across the country continue to recognize Arlington's rideshare program with Via as the gold standard for transportation solutions.
Services
Our technology enables partners to create end-to-end transit systems: from planning better networks and streets to operating efficient public transit and student transportation. Connect riders who live and work far from public transit, bringing convenient and accessible transportation to areas that need it most.
Defining and pioneering the TransitTech category is a journey nearly a decade in the making - beginning with a few vans at the intersection of 93rd and York Avenue in New York City. Today, we are the world's most powerful digital infrastructure for public transportation.

Via's software provides an end-to-end solution to plan, optimize, and operate efficient and equitable transit systems - unlocking opportunity for all, and building resilient cities for the future. From changing a single person's daily commute to reducing humanity's collective environmental footprint - we've got huge goals.
Via's TransitTech solutions help cities build strong communities and drive economic development by improving access for riders in transit deserts, facilitating easier connections to existing fixed route services, reducing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing quality of life. Whether you need to strengthen an existing transit network or build something from scratch, we're ready to help.
We'll work with you to build a safe, sustainable, and professionally managed shuttle network that caters to your needs - whether it's getting your employees to and from the workplace, moving people around seamlessly across a large corporate campus, or bringing people back to the office after months of remote working.
We partner with hospitals, clinic networks, insurance companies, public transit authorities, and government health agencies to provide efficient and accessible non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). Either combine your fleets with our software, or allow our expert team to design and operate an end-to-end transportation service.

What happened??

This was a truly great taxi service. Now, things are poor. Called for car today. Car was dirty. License plates were not the same as on the app.

The prices have gone WAY up but the service gets worse.

Are you under new management??

Via Car Rental took advantage of the fact that I was having an issue getting a larger rental at the airport even though I had made a reservation, and overcharged me for a rental. They then turned the car off on the last day at 10:30 AM making it so I wasn't able to drive the car, so we thought the car was broken. We spent an hour trying to figure it out before they finally answered the phone and told us that they had turned the car off as if we had stolen it. This was within the hour that needed to be returned. When I told them that this was something I had never experienced with another car

I joined VIA several years ago and had just good things to day about the service. Then--IT DECLINED. NO-SHOW CARS-WRONG PICK UP ADDRESS (2 BLOCKS AWAY). NO SHOWS. I have tried to have my remaining balance returned to me, $57.61. Contact my bank--we can't do this, we can't do that--OVER AND OVER.

THIS IS STEALING, NO MATTER HOW THEY PUT IT!!!

SCREW THEM--LET THEM KEEP THE DAMNED $57.61. I will continue to fill any available sites where I can describe this.

NEVER TAKE THE RIDE SHARE OPTION. This is a review for NYC Via ride share. Drivers can pick up 3-6 passengers, while they are driving you. And as he picks up passengers you can end up taking a VERY LONG TOUR OF THE CITY, while making you terribly LATE!

Via came to Jersey City recently and as they're a lot less expensive than Uber I gave them a try for the first time last night for a short trip home from a restaurant as my friend's knee was bothering him.

We waited 15 minutes for the van which was sort of understandable as the closest one was over by Journal Square and I was looking for a Grove St. pickup. And after all, it's cheap.

Driver was surly and unshaven but, after all, it's cheap.

But then he stopped 2 and a half blocks short of the destination. We convinced him to take us one block further and walked the rest

When I first signed up to the Via app in 2017. Back then the incentive was $5 for any ride in Manhattan under 125th street. You could ride from NYU to JFK airport in about $25 (tax included). Now it costs around $70 (not including tax). More than Lyft or Uber. Wait times are also insane (on average 20 minutes)! There is no reason to use Via. I would not recommend it.

This was a reliable transportation alternative but recently they have become extremely sketchy. Last Saturday I ordered a ride and was charged twice without a pickup within five minutes of ordering. I have contacted them a half a dozen times at this point. Each time I was told they would respond within 48 hours to address my issue, but in over a week nobody from Via has contacted me. This type of activity constitutes petty theft to my understanding. Apparently the management cannot be bothered to deal with their dishonest drivers. I would strongly recommend avoiding this car service at your own

VIA SUCKS! Their app wouldn't let me tip my excellent driver, and they continuously do not respond to my inquiries through the app, and no way to tip retroactively. What is the point of having a business with ZERO customer service?

I have been Via Customer for3 yrs now. The services are not consistent and lately I need a car to go to the airport and need to go to the Bronx at night. The maps not working. no car, kept sending me late notices and changes other cars. It was not dependable and took $ 200 for Via Pass from my credit card, not provide any discounts.. same price as Lyft. And today, there were no car or no services after 30 mins trying to book a car. Very very disappointed. !

I've used Via since 2016 and I've been continually frustrated with this company. However I've kept using them because it was cheaper than most options getting to work from Manhattan to Brooklyn. But today I've decided to delete them. Their app always shows the car is 5, 4, 3 minutes away but the car won't move. You're left waiting 10-12 minutes for a car that was supposed to pick you up in 5 mins. The app sux! And the customer service will Just say "someone from the member services team will reach out" but no one ever does.

Today was the last straw though

Via has really gone down hill! Drivers who don't wait, drivers who smell bad, drivers who talk on the phone. Most drivers can't communicate with you. Prices keep going up. It's like cabs in the 90's but less convenient.

The algorithm makes less and less sense as far as routes. They recently made it harder to communicate with them by moving support to app only.

I have using Uber Pool recently and it is much better.

I used to love Via but it has obviously lost sight of what used to make it great.

I used to be like, "Uber? Who is she?" No. Use Via and you'll get a luxury car for $5. Well, cue the All in the Family theme, "Those were the days".

I'm writing this ticked off because I have now had two Via drivers who couldn't speak English. Fine and dandy, but find a way to communicate with passengers. Google Translate.

Case 1: The driver went past my drop off. I asked him to confirm my name. He didn't speak English, just stared at me like a deer in headlights, then kept going in the wrong direction. I got out and had to walk a long

Via car service has triggered my son's asthma twice now! They have no policy on driver perfume use. First time the driver clearly smoked, and was trying to mask the smoke with perfume. It was so bad my son's asthma was immediacy triggered. We ended up in ER! Second time, the driver probably used half a bottle of perfume, we rode the car with windows down in 35 degree temperature. It's was no use, again my son's asthma was trigger.

What made our experience utterly unacceptable is the completely total lack of response from VIA customer service. I wrote to them (there is NO customer

It just can't get worse than theses terrible drivers don't speak English crash all the time in silly mini vans it's a joke. This company won't exist in three months this city

But via drivers do Everything wrong don't know where to pull over they don't know the city they don't know directions most of them don't speak English like I mentioned which is kind of important when you're spending that kind of money and the amount of people that shuttlecock in our requirements so unsanitary and disgusting and the drivers are not having the best hygiene for the

It's not cheaper than any other car service as it was when it began years ago.
Drivers are sleepy and hit on customers!!
The drivers are lazy and will leave you waiting up to 10mins even in a private ride. But won't even find you when you're waiting outside, and simply leave. Meanwhile via will charge you 3$ for those kinds of mistakes. I've gotten stuck in the rain waiting for 10mins and I've gotten stuck in dangerous neighborhoods at night waiting in corners for the via to arrive LATE! I've been left at my doorstep at 5am and gotten late to work because of Via!

This is the worst car service if you have any concern for time, which is pretty much everyone living in this city.

Booked a trip from East Harlem to Murray Hill at 1PM. Took over an hour to get there. The guy stopped for a rider who never showed up. Via wouldn't let our driver take any other route but 2nd ave even though it was crawling at a snail's pace while the FDR was wide open.

The cost of the ride was $6 for two people which is definitely not worth the time wasted. During rush hour, it's $5 a person with probably even slower service. Who would ride this?

I am never using
