Kids First Health Care
Since establishing Colorado's first school-based health center in 1978, we have been committed to keeping our community's most vulnerable and at-risk children healthy, in school, and ready to learn. Through this commitment, along with the support of our generous funders, we have transformed thousands of young lives. Kids First Health Care would not be able to provide vital health care services to our communities without the generous and continual support of our valued donors.
Services
Our pediatric health care providers are dedicated to providing high quality health care for Adams County children. Established in 1978, we operate under the philosophy that every child deserves health care. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created specifically to meet the needs of children ages birth to 21 who otherwise could not afford health care.
Kids First Health Care was founded in 1978 as School Health Corporation with a five-year grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The agency had two goals: to provide primary health care to school-age children in Commerce City at a reasonable cost; and to develop a cost-sharing model between educational, medical, and community sectors to make the program cost-effective and practical.
Previously, Ms. Gustin Connor served as a Senior Program Officer in Health at the Rose Community Foundation. In this role, Ms. Gustin Connor directed grant-making efforts for nonprofit organizations working to improve Colorado's health care system. Prior to serving at the Rose Community Foundation, Ms. Gustin Connor worked as a consultant with Cape Cod Healthcare's school-based health center program in Massachusetts.
Tom Green is a Community Affairs Representative for United Power, a local, not-for-profit electric cooperative along the north central range of Colorado. Tom serves on the Kids First Board as part of United Power's commitment to contributing to the sustainable development and support of worthy causes in the areas they serve.
Kids First Health Care is pleased to share our annual reports from the past several years. As we reflect on our accomplishments over the years, we are so grateful for our partners, supporters, patients, and families who have made our work possible. Thank you for your support and dedication to creating healthier tomorrows for our children!

I've been going here for almost 6 years now but I'm so disappointed with the front desk lately. The last few times I've called, today in particular, the last was super rude and acted as tho scheduling more then one appointment was a huge inconvenience. Usually everyone is so nice but not whoever's answered the phone recently 😞
