Ansley Eye Care was opened in 2008 by Dr. Reena Gupta. Her goal was to provide the absolute best patient care as well provide Atlanta with some of the most exclusive eyewear brands that the world has to offer. In 2011, her husband, Rob, left his career in consulting to join the practice. Together, they have created a true 'mom and pop' shop.

I’ve worn glasses since my early teens but have never really enjoyed the process. At Ansley I can use my HSA funds for contacts, prescription lenses, and sunglasses.
Although I usually buy my frames from other retailers, they’ve made it really easy over the years to keep up with my eye care and create glasses that I’m excited to wear. For my last pair, I was able to add a faded tint that works both indoor and out 🤓
In my experience the service here has been professional, efficient and helpful. Recommended.

First appointment today and had a wonderful experience. Saw Dr. Reid and felt so well taken care of. Then had the pleasure of shopping for frames with Kyle. He helped me narrow it down and pick the best new frames…as well as splurging on some new sunglasses. One of the best surprises was learning that the store also has a very chic, very nice section of gift items. Won’t be ordering contacts online anymore… need an excuse to drop by to pick up my contacts, and shop the adorable selection of gifts for friends…and myself! I thoroughly enjoyed my eye doc visit today, which is weird because

Beware Ansley Eye Care. I don't normally post any sort of review or recommendations, but I thought my experience today warranted one.
Two days ago, I went into Ansley Eye Care to schedule my eye exam. I have used them for years and have been very pleased with their service and quality of merchandise. However, that was not the case today.
I arrived on time and was quickly led into the back where a young man started my exam and asked me routine questions.... He had me sit and look at a machine with a farmhouse that went in and out of focus and at another machine that blew a puff of air at my eye

I went here after visiting all of the big-box eye exam/glasses stores. I mostly found the same thing at all the big-box stores. When I walked into Ansley Eye Care, it was a breath of fresh air! I wanted tortoise shell plastic frames with a nerdy look. Literally, the first pair they showed me, was the pair I’ve been wearing for 5 years now. They fit my face perfectly and I love them. The scale of their frames were smaller, making better proportion to my face. All of the frames at the big-box stores were HUGE! And the quality is amazing. 5 years and they still feel new. I'm extremely picky. I dither. I have a tiny head. These factors combined make shopping for glasses an impossible task. After trying on what I suspected might be The One, I nevertheless walked out empty-handed. After having fixated on them for nearly two weeks and solicited opinions from friends, family, and reputedly objective strangers on the internet, I made my decision. However, I arrived to the news that they'd been sold hours earlier. I must have been visibly devastated, as John took pity on me and set out to track down another pair. Cannot recommend Ansley Eye Care enough! From the moment I walked in I was impressed. The clinic is lovely and I was immediately greeted by staff who were masked and sanitizing the sample frames. My appointment with Dr. Reid (who I believe may be relatively new to the practice) was thorough and informative. She was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and happily answered all of my eye-related questions. Will definitely be back!

The best eye care in Atlanta. Dr. Gupta, Rob, and their team are outstanding. Great eye care, customer service, medical knowledge, and everyone makes you feel welcomed. I used to go to the big brand names in Atlanta, but Ansley Eye Care is much better with a personal touch. Make an appointment soon, you’ll be happy you did!

Twice, this place has fixed some very expensive designer sunglasses for me and twice they did it for me for free, despite repeated protestations to pay them for it. What's really wild is that both sunglasses, I took to Louis Vuitton to get fixed and both of them, they said that they couldn't. And I was going to pay them. But both times, Joh was able to fix my sunglasses and they look good as new. I haven't used their optometric services since I don't need glasses, but if I did have to, I'd come here since the customer service is consistently outstanding.

This place is a total scam, I went in two years ago and they made me pay them extra money not to dilate my eyes because they claimed they had a new technology that was better than the old fashion way of dilating your eyes. Luckily for me I went to a new optometrist who did not charge me extra for anything and dilated my eyes. He discovered that I am farsighted. The prescription that I had at Ansley eye care was worthless.

I had an excellent experience at Ansley Eye Care! It was very easy to set up an appointment. Dr. G is very personable and took the time to walk me through every detail during my exam. She was thorough and made me feel confident about updating my prescription and glasses. The rest of the staff helped me pick out frames that looked great. Overall great experience and would recommend it to anyone!

Doctor is really nice, and so is the staff - that's where the positivity ends. With my insurance, I'm not supposed to have to pay for my yearly eye exam. But this place finds ways to nickel and dime you. I never leave without paying at least $100! They charge you to "try on" a pair of contacts after the exam, among other things. Their hours are also atrocious - not everyone wants to have to wait until 10 am to go to the doctor. The final straw is the fact that they're now closed for Christmas for like five days. This normally wouldn't be an issue, but it just so happened

I moved back to Atlanta in 2015 and have been trying a different eye doctor every year just waiting to find someone I actually like. I have absolutely found my new home at Ansley Eye Care. Dr. G and all of her staff are extremely personable and you can tell that they want to make sure every single person who walks through the door leaves having had a great experience. Dr. Gupta and her secretary husband, Rob, are crooks. For all patients that had issues with Dr. Gupta and Rob, call the Georgia Board of Optometry and your eye/medical insurance and file formal complaints. That is the only way you can hit them where it hurts.

I enjoyed 3 years at Ansley Eye Care, initially because I had a bad experience with my previous eye doctor at In Focus Eye, and returning for yearly checkups and updates on my eyeglass and contact lens prescription. Dr Gupta is friendly and personable, finding out that we were born within months of each other in the same hospital in Canada. She adjusted my previously incorrect prescription and switched me to daily contact lenses due to the irritation caused by Atlanta's abundant pollen. ROB needs to work on customer SERVICE!!
I called back to get 100% understanding of my frame/lens and reflective coating since I broke my glasses!!
I wanted to speak so I could understand the breakdown...I asked him to please let me talk so I can understand, as he does this everyday!! I was NOT rude but he was...at the end, as he DID NOT SPEAK at all, I guess he is a two-yr old, I was like thank you and he simply did NOT say ONE WORD!! VERY unprofessional. I think his wife is a doctor there.....job security must be nice!!
