The very first consideration for this age group is to determine whether the child is "mouth breathing" particularly at night, and if the child is developing a malocclusion or bad bite characterized by crowding, a deep vertical overbite, openbite, and narrow jaw development. Is the upper jaw narrow or constricted?
Ankyloglossia is a medical term for tongue-tie. The tongue is made up of a very complex group of muscles that are important for all oral functions. When the small fold of tissue that extends from the floor of your mouth to the bottom of your tongue is too thick or too short, this abnormality can cause many issues, affecting many daily activities and interfering with normal development both structurally and emotionally.

We have been in business over 30 years. Our staff and myself have nothing but the utmost respect and honor for our patients. Unfortunately there are not always patients who have the same respect and honor for us due to areas in their lives that I cannot help them with. In my 30 years I have received only 2-3 bad reviews out of the thousands of patients treated in my office. Virtually all negative reviews are based on money issues where services were rendered and the patient did not or could not pay their part of the agreement therefor they feel lashing out and posting reviews or having friends

I don't write reviews but this time, I am compelled to leave a review.
I spent over $4000 for TMJ treatment at this office. My first visit was in March, 2017 and have not yet received any reimbursement check from my insurance company. With other non-preferred dental providers, I received reimbursement checks within a week from my appointment.
When it went over two months since my first visit at this office and had not received a single reimbursement check, I asked Ellen (she has said it takes months to get reimbursement checks for many patients) for copies of insurance claims she submitted
