Best practices in veterinary medicine are constantly changing, and our goal is to guide you in making educated decisions about the medical treatment and well-being of your dog or cat.
South Town Animal Hospital is dedicated to delivering the most effective treatments to our patients including the latest advances in veterinary medicine along with proven traditional treatments. We have expanded our services to offer complementary and conventional medicine. Complementary medicine includes therapeutic disciplines, like laser therapy and whole food supplements, that are used in conjunction with mainstream treatments.
We offer a full range of soft tissue surgeries from routine spays and neuters to more advanced procedures. South Town Animal Hospital uses strict anesthetic safety measures. Our surgical suite is equipped with state of the art surgical and anesthetic-monitoring equipment to ensure continuous monitoring of heart rate, respiratory rate, capillary refill time, blood pressure, IV fluid level, temperature, and heart rhythm.
Technology isn't quite that advanced yet, but at South Town Animal Hospital we have a wide range of diagnostic tools to assist the veterinarians with making a diagnosis quickly and accurately to get your pet back on a healthy path. Our top-of-the-line digital x-ray suite enables us to take ultra-clear x-ray images much faster than conventional film x-ray, which means less stress and radiation for the patient.
When your pet requires further diagnostic testing or needs to be hospitalized we are able to provide these services at our state of the art hospital located in South Elgin. In an effort to provide your pet with a calm passing we offer in-home euthanasia services. This allows your pet the comfort to be in their own bed surrounded by the people and animals that love them.

Very friendly, helpful staff and vet. Everyone here from receptionist to vet went above and beyond for us as new clients who needed an international health certificate to fly our dog. The customer service at this office is beyond outstanding. They made phone calls to verify what we needed, moved up our appointment to accommodate getting the certificate back in the mail from the agricultural vet in Springfield, IL in time for our flights. They researched things to make sure all i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed. We couldn’t have asked for better service. So

I absolutely love this place. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a big smile by the cheerful and caring front desk staff. Every single time I've called they have been so nice and helpful. I have never had an issue with getting my babies in when I desperately need to. The vets are very caring and warm. You can tell they love what they do and they truly love animals. I have recommended them to family and friends. I am so happy I found them. Thank you for always caring about my fur babies.
