We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Your website says you are a natural hair boutique. What does that mean? We specialize in a wide range of natural hairstyles. We can work with nearly all textures including wavy, curly, coily, kinky, transitioning, natural and "not so natural" hair. Our styling portfolio is extensive.

I waited for 45 minute for them to even open, then I made my appointment and didn't even hear from the salon when I came in I was just told it wasn't accepted so I don't have a appointment. I wish I could've known that a hour ago but no communication from Monday until Friday occurred and my time was completely wasted. Completely unprofessional.

Made an online appointment throught the site for a deep conditioning and cut with Rita. Received a text and email confirming the appointment 2 days ago. In the meantime, I'vebeen searching for styles that I like as I really needed to get back on track. I drive from austin and the door is locked. Thinking they're taking extra precaution for covid, I call to elt them know I'm outside and no one answers the phone. Sign says it's open. After moving to Austin from Dallas , I was adamant about going to a new place to care for my hair . Ms. Rita got me right after having quarantine hair for 2 months . She was friendly and very knowledgeable about natural hair . I loved the Christian music playing . They took their time to open back up and I felt very safe . They also gave me a discount for my first time which I appreciated. Now that I will be in Pflugerville, I will definitely be returning.

I moved here from DC about 9 months ago and had a rough time finding someone that knows how to keep my natural hair healthy. I booked T&J after reading the reviews and had Rita work her magic. This time it was just a wash, moisturizing treatment, and a trim. She also educated me on what type of products to use and how often to use them. She has earned me as a client for life.

I hate to leave a negative review because my experience at the salon was a pleasant one. So let me start with the positive, Niikki was my stylist, she was very professional, prompt, courteous, and efficient. I was extremely comfortable with Nikki.
However, I got my hair straightened Wednesday evening and I was finished about 7:30 pm on July 10. I left made an exchange at Ulta, went home wrapped my hair and packed my bags because I was leaving to go out of town the next morning. I got up at 5am on July 11 and my hair was a fro. I was disappointed because not one person saw me with my hair straightened

Probably the best haircut I've had in years. Very clean shop, welcoming, professional barbers. Nicely restored vintage barber chairs, chilled beverages while you wait, big TVs on the wall, and a comfortable waiting area. This is not your typical chain shop. These guys are masters of their craft. This was my first time here, and I'll I'll definetly be back.

I found Teresa (the T in T & J) at Aveda Institute. She fixed my daughter's hair after she cut a huge chunk out herself. My daughter has mixed curly hair. Teresa was both knowledgeable and helpful, giving us tips on products and other hair care solutions (not sleeping on cotton pillowcases as it can absorb moisture). So now we followed her to T and J. She has earned loyal customers for sure! Nice shop with good vibes, and fair prices as well.

I have searched for a hairstylist for years. I was looking for a place with a pleasant spiritual, kind & warm atmosphere. I was looking for someone who worked with natural hair. My experience with Ms. Rita was top-notch from the setting up of my appointment. I am new to the area. Used Yelp to find her ;-) I was looking for someone who could manage my confused hair that wont curl and wont fully be straight. I love this salon! Rita is wonderful and takes such great care of my hair. I have locs that were started with a tool, and I had come to her hoping she could help me on my journey. First of all, I came across the T&J by accident. I was in a horrible hair situation, which my regular salon said they couldn't fix for months. Devastated, I randomly went into Sally's Beauty to look at clip ons and met Ms. Rachel, who told me she did extensions at her salon.
Ms. Rachel is a miracle worker!!!! I had no idea where to even begin and she recommended the sew on link technique for me and no one has even guessed that I have extensions in! She is also very sweet and has given me great advice
