This is a service nobody wants to have to use, but is very thankful for when the situation demands it.
We were in a car accident in September. Geico wanted to ship our car out of state to Melrose to have it inspected for damages. We declined. By state law we can have the car towed to any garage and have work done by a company of our choosing.

I went in October 2021 due to my car being backed into and as a result knocked out my driver side review mirror and dented my front door and causing it to make a horrible sound every time I opened it. One of the mechanics, Steve, was so friendly and personable! The process was so smooth and easy. He gave me an amazing price for the body work job and was able to finish it within the day! I highly recommend this service for ANYONE!! I’ve been to many body mechanic places in the past, but this was by far the best and honest place I’ve been to yet.

State Auto Body is awesome. I had a minor fender issue that needed to be repaired. I first went to a large local dealers collision center and in typical dealer fashion they were just rude and their timelines were absurd. I understand things are backed up with COVID but they told me 4 weeks before I could come in and then another 4-8 weeks for it to be fixed for a simple bumper repair.
I live right down the road from State Auto Body so I called them to see what the process would be like, right from the start they were super friendly and had me come in that same day. You can tell right away that

Had to get the bottom of our bottom of our bumper fixed after we came down on a curb the day before a long drive home. Arrived as they were opening and we were out before the hour was finished, plus they fixed on our tire pressure. Great and friendly service, highly recommend!

My new auto (my baby!!) was hit along the rear side while parked. I had no clue where to take it to be repaired, State Auto Body was on a list I received from my insurance company, and I chose it only because it was closest to where I live. I am so happy I did! Mario and Steve made everything easy, including making all arrangements for a rental car. They even met my need for a fast repair turn-around because I needed to drive my car out of state for a planned vacation. I would have understood if they couldnt meet my deadline, but they did with time to spare, and did a perfectly beautiful job.

I took my Jeep here recently to have some bodywork done and I am very particular when it comes to my baby! I couldn't have asked for a better job done, they went above and beyond with the work they did and it cost me a lot less than it could have at another mechanic. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would, because I am very impressed with how quick and professional they were! Would highly recommend!!!

Wow! Where do I begin in this review? Well, I am writing this review not even 10 minutes since I've picked up my car. As you can see in the pics, I swiped my passenger side quarter panel on a pillar leading into my apartment garage. Very unfortunate situation -- I began researching auto body shops the same evening it happened. How fortunate am I to live walking distance from State Auto Body. With COVID going on, I was able to upload photos of the damage directly to the auto body shop, Steve called me about noon that same day and asked me if I was available to bring the car in. Steve, Mario, and the technicians at State Auto Body are some of the best in the business. I brought my Subaru Legacy GT in for repairs after an accident because they are one of the only independent auto body shops certified by Subaru in Rhode Island. Steve and Mario made sure that the adjuster accounted for genuine OEM parts for my repairs and did a great job keeping me in the loop as to what was going on. If you have a Subaru, Honda, Acura, or anything else in need of repairs definitely give State a call, they'll make sure it's fixed right the first time.

I came here because of the great reviews and now I see why. I had something wrong with my window going up and down and came in for an estimate. My window at the time was sliding down and looked very ugly due to all the tape I used to try to keep it up but they put the window up and made it look decent for the time being. I came in a week later to have it fixed and now I'm back to getting coffee in drive thrus like a normal person instead of opening my door lol. Very nice people that work there and they gave me a good price instead of an arm and leg.

Steve is an absolute lifesaver! Had to get the driver side mirror replaced and was visiting from out of state for only two days. In a panic, I went in a couple minutes before they were closing and Steve said he'd try his best. He finished before 2pm the next day! I also handed over the car keys frankly without checking what I left inside the car and Steve flagged my friend and I down to give back our phones and house keys before we left. Absolutely would recommend you ask for Steve if you ever need to get anything fixed!

I got completely hosed by a mechanic in college, so I am always nervous when dealing with car stuff. I needed to replace the bumper and got quotes from three places. One place was downright sketchy; the guy told me to pay cash and wrote the quote on a business card. The second place was reputable but felt like a factory. By the time I got to State Auto Body, I'm pretty sure they could smell my fear.

The owners of this shop, Mario and Steve, and their team do great work! I only spoke with Mario throughout the process and it was a pleasure doing business with Mario because he was very responsive to questions, went the extra mile to sort things out with the insurance company responsible for our claim and ultimately delivered fantastic results with our Honda Civic. My neighbor recommended Mario, who he has known for decades, and we were glad to take the car to his shop knowing we could trust the folks there.
