Family First is amazing teaching of martial arts. It’s not just reaches you martial arts but also builds confidence in kids and helps kids to understand about helping and respecting each other. It also helps kids in team building and boost up their self defense. Mr. Richard and his team are amazing and pays deep attention to each kid during classes. They teach discipline and help kids to focus on their goals. I really like Mr. Richard’s 2 team members, they are so helpful and focused on practically all the kids in the room. It’s worth the money you spend.

We wanted our 5 yr old daughter to have an extracurricular activity that was physical and required a little discipline so we asked if she thought she would enjoy karate. She jumped at the chance so we signed her up.
I couldn’t be more impressed with the staff at Family First. They are unbelievable with children. My daughter absolutely loves going to practice and loves everyone there. I couldn’t recommend a better studio or activity for a family to enroll their children.

We feel so lucky that we found Family First. My kids are having a great time learning martial arts as well as focus, coordination, and respect. The positive encouragement that Sensei Richard and Sensei Shelby give the students is beyond what I could have asked for. Every child deserves an opportunity to be taught the way they are teaching at Family First! With encouragement, respect and patience.

I really can't say enough positive about this place! The skills being taught are boosting my son's confidence tremendously! He is learning physical discipline as well as respect for others. Sensei Richard cares about these students and it is evident from day one. My son looks forward to going every week.

We have been SO impressed with the staff of Family First Martial Arts Training Centers. Shihan Richard is phenomenal with the kids, and an excellent role model. They are teaching much more than martial arts- confidence, respect, discipline, manners, and more. They are professional, communicative, and most importantly, a great environment for our 6 year old.

All sensei (teachers) are very focused on each individual's improvement even though it's group training. For younger kids, they make sure it appears a fun activity and not a boring routine. Very important to sustain the young kids' interest levels. Richard is especially very good at bringing extra smiles on the faces of nervous little dragons!
They have trial classes if you want to give a try. And also have first 2 weeks test classes so that you can gauge your kid's interest level before committing to monthly classes.
Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Family First Martial Arts. The staff is top notch, we love the way that Sensei Richard and his team work with both of our children in increasing their confidence, their athletic ability, and their love of karate. We tried just about every other activity under the sun, but nothing has captured their attention and drive both inside and outside the class like Family First Martial Arts. We are big fans and will continue to send our children there for a very long time.
